If you're Hobbyist, or don't have a proper Business, Twilio will simply not activate your account.. or suspend your current account.They are advertising about "Free Plan", but if you're not a company, you test their products.Tech Support doesn't care about potential prospect. Company to strictly avoid.I will never recommend Twilio.
As a developer I wanted to explore Twilio's API. I was very excited about the possibilities, but I had no specific project in mind.After paying 20$ and upgrading my account, they suspended it, asking me all kinds of backward questions like what is my business, requiring me to send them emails from the server where my application is.After trying to answer their questions they replied:"After careful review, we will not be able to approve your account and unable to provide details regarding decisions made in the account review process. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."I understand that they are trying to protect themselves from spammers but I did not abuse the service. I did nothing wrong.They could also ask for my id or find other ways of detecting spammers.Very disappointed.
I wanted to connect Twilio with Supabase to give let people log in with their Phone... I created an Account, verified my Email (worked), setup 2FA with phone (worked aswell), but when i needed to verify my number (which was already verified through the 2FA?) it failed. I tried it again 12h later and now i only get error messages. When im trying to access the service of verifying the Telephone-Number and in doing so i fail at this exact service... its like walking inside door-store to buy a door but you stand in front of a sturdy brick wall...And i couldnt find a way to reach a support or anything (because you need an account duh). There is only a contact formular for business reasons (and im just here to test it)....As far as i know they cant even provide theirown with a stable service so idk how they should be able to provide you with one
I use a software that can integrate only with Twilio so I've been trying to contact Twilio for the past 2 weeks to become a new member. Their website says "World class customer support". But it's as if the company doesn't exist or they don't have any employees. I've tried contacting them through their website requesting someone from sales call me to discuss their products, I've tried calling them directly each and every day leaving voicemails. I've tried texting them and even leaving them feedback on their website. This is a wakeup call that if it's impossible to connect with anyone now and I'm not even a customer yet, I have no hope that anything will magically change once they have my debit card number on file and taking my money. I'm so disappointed in the time I've wasted for my business just trying to talk to someone there. I'm going to stay as far away from Twilio as I possibly can and I recommend you do the same.
They lie, they don't give valuable reasons as to why they won't accept your documents. I didn't have a great experience with the customer service, they are slow, I find their platform pretty complicated. They are not up to date regarding legislation meaning some things they do are straight up illegal
Worst company I e ever dealt with in my entire life!!! They closed my account with no further assistance and explanation. I simply asked them WHY they legally need my business documents which I have a right to know. They couldn’t answer me do they just suspended me account!
The overall app/service is nice and easy to use, but the support is absolute garbage. I have an issue where they won't let me into my account unless I verify it via email, but for some reason I'm not receiving these verification emails.I'm still in delayed communication with a support member to fix this issue that I reported yesterday, and it's affecting my business (not being able to log in). Again, great app/service, but pray that nothing goes wrong for you..
