Disappointed - enquired first for several courses

I have enquired for the first time for about no less than 6 courses, no response. To trying to get hold of them is hard work, just imagine when you take the course. Which is a shame. You do not get a straight back answer, I raised a tkt as well. Not sure how this organisation work but they need a human being there to speak to. THEY HAVE MORE 1 STAR THAN 5 STAR that explains a lot about this company

I hate Udemy more than anything!

I hate Udemy more than anything!First of all, I find the way marketing is done really awful; they claim that courses are only available at this price for a limited time, only to see those same courses reduced again shortly after. For me, this is not a serious way to conduct business. Anyway, the player is a complete nightmare; after a video finishes playing, it jumps back to the beginning, and that is incredibly annoying. I tried to contact support through the world's dumbest chatbot system that humanity has ever created. In any case, I gave up after 10 minutes of wasting my life. That was my first and last course I will ever purchase on this platform; I will never use this platform again!

Udemy Doesn't Deserve Its Customers

I didn't originally have a Trustpilot account, but I specifically registered one just to leave a negative review for Udemy. I've been using Udemy for over two years and used to be a loyal customer—until recently, when I realized how disgusting this company truly is. One or two weeks ago, I logged into my Udemy account to purchase a course and found that my currency had been changed from USD to JPY. I don't need to explain much—anyone who has used Udemy knows how terrible their currency handling is. So, I emailed customer support, requesting that my currency be changed back to USD. I explained that I was accessing Udemy from a Japanese IP address, but I do not live in Japan, nor am I a Japanese resident. I also mentioned that about a year ago, their system had automatically changed my currency, and when I contacted customer support back then, they quickly changed it back for me. But this time was different. This time, customer support first claimed that it was "impossible to change" my currency because my IP was from Japan. When I questioned why my currency wasn't changed to USD when I accessed Udemy using a U.S. IP, they responded, "We believe you are from China." I questioned further—then why didn't you change my currency to CNY? If you're determining currency based on IP, then stick to that rule. If you're determining currency based on a user's country of residence, then require users to submit proof of address or a credit card billing address. If you're determining currency based on nationality, then require users to submit their passports. But you do none of these things. One day, you decide currency based on IP; the next day, you don't. You don't even have a basic, consistent rule! I explained to customer support that paying in JPY gives me a currency exchange advantage, while paying in USD costs me more, but it's beneficial for your company and your other customers (instructors). The support agent completely ignored my point! Can you imagine that? Then, I left a comment on Udemy’s LinkedIn page explaining the situation. No one responded to me, no one cared about why a customer was so angry. They just continued posting their promotional content, completely ignoring my comment. I want to say this—business competition in this world is extremely fierce. Many companies want to make money. So, I should give my business to those that actually care about their customers, not to a company that treats its customers like garbage and tramples them underfoot. Udemy does not deserve customers. They do not deserve to survive in the business world. I will leave negative reviews for you everywhere I can. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from Udemy. I will do everything in my power to weaken your competitiveness—because you do not deserve customers!

Udemy Abruptly Closed My 13-Year-Old Account with $1,000+ in Courses—No Explanation Given!

I have been a loyal user of Udemy for over 13 years, having signed up when the platform was still in its early stages and offered only a limited number of courses. Over the years, I have invested in my education by purchasing approximately 110 courses and spent more than thousand USD on my account. This morning, I was shocked to discover that Udemy had suspended my account without prior notice or explanation. When I inquired, I was told that my account was accessed from a banned country. However, this claim is entirely unfounded. In the past few years, I have only traveled to Turkey and Senegal, neither of which are banned countries. Udemy has failed to provide any concrete evidence to support their allegation. It is deeply disappointing and unethical for Udemy to abruptly close an account that has been active for over a decade, especially without providing proof or a fair resolution. I am left feeling betrayed by a platform I once trusted for my educational needs.I want to make others aware of this situation. Your Udemy account, along with all the courses you’ve purchased, could be suspended overnight without warning or justification. When choosing an online learning platform, it is crucial to select one that values its users and operates with transparency and integrity.I will continue to pursue this matter through all available channels until I either receive a full refund for all my purchased courses or my account is reinstated. Udemy’s handling of this situation is unacceptable, and I hope this serves as a warning to others about the risks of relying on such a platform.Shame on you, Udemy.

No refund, no support

Ordered three courses but chose to refund two (actually wanted to refund all three, but as I had watch some of the videos for one I couldn't refund it). I was given Udemy credits and not given an actual refund. I cannot get a refund now as they will not refund credits. I tried to contact someone, but I was directed to a chat bot with zero way of contacting a human, just redirected to the same question branches.

I was charged close to $300 for a yearly subscription I never wanted — no response, no refund, no e

I signed up for Udemy with the clear intention of trying the monthly Personal Plan. I selected it because I wanted to test the platform before committing. Instead, I was immediately charged almost $300 for an annual subscription I did not agree to.I contacted Udemy immediately to ask for a refund, thinking it was just a mistake. Not only did they ignore my request completely, but I never even received a basic response. Not a word.I tried everything — emails, the help center, even reaching out through different channels. I cancelled the subscription the same day, but the damage was already done.My bank refused to help because technically the payment “went through,” even though it was deceptive and unauthorized. So now I am stuck with a full-year charge I never approved, and a company that shows zero respect for its users.Udemy might have good content, but their customer service and billing practices are deeply unethical. If you care about transparency and being treated with basic decency, avoid this platform.

Bad quality, bad service, paid money is gone.

My personal experience with Udemy and 100 days of code was that it looked great at first but at day 3, the quality, content, and sound got seriously worse. This made me dissatisifed and I demanded a refund. It was rejected. I complained to Udemy trust or safety, and was badly treated and given bad service despite that they sold me a defect product.
