I told Urthbox I wanted to cancel my subscription 2-3 months before my auto-renewal was due. They did not and charged me for another 6 months worth of boxes and are refusing to refund my money. Not only that, 3/4 of the snacks they send aren’t even good. The “cotton candy” is literally like eating insulation.

the food they deliver is genuinely…

the food they deliver is genuinely inedible. it’s like eating the dirt from your front yard. i forgot to cancel my subscription after my first order because i forgot it was a subscription service and they couldn’t issue me a refund. DO NOT BUY!!!

Missing snacks bad customer service…

Missing snacks bad customer service instead of sending itemized receipt how I requested after I realized I’m missing snacks they ignored me. When I told them I’m missing my snacks they tried gaslighting me into saying my family ate some which is not true. Also the snacks that I did receive were not good such as the stale popcorn was stale that went right into the trash

No integrity/Bad Food

Many of the boxes came with the same things multiple times. Some foods had a terrible metallic taste and smell from the bags. We had a subscription and the auto renewed the subscription without an email. The only reason why we had one is because we had a gift card. We reached out the next day when they say it was processed through our card. No boxes were sent at this time and nothing was delivered. They still held us to the 6 month subscription that we can’t afford. I can understand maybe paying for one box but it wasn’t even sent or being processed at the time we reached out to the company. Major takeaways - Some food is actually good- A lot was not edible or couldn’t even try it do to the fact it smelt like metal- They didn’t send us a reminder email which their suppose to do before auto renewal - customer service was terrible and they don’t have integrity- I will give a review for every box received

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Scamers. Will steal your information without permission. Create accounts. Charge you and their customer service is some chat GBT AI automated responses. Worst company I have ever came in contact with. Also the snacks are disgusting, they repeat and just buy random bulk snacks from a discount grocery outlet and send them to you. Not worth your money. Dont support this company.

Their customer service was horrible! When initially purchased this as a gift for Father’s Day, it was not explicitly stated that it would reoccur, but they hide it in the additional fine print. I took screen shots of my order and confirmation and nowhere did it say that it would reoccur with the option I chose. Their customer service began responding to my emails asking questions and provided feedback then just never responded to my last email where I sent screen shots of my order confirmation showing that the package I purchased explicitly stated that it would only reoccur once a month for three months. NOT until cancelation. Kinda scammy. Purchasers beware.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I ordered a 3 month mini box subscription for fathers day and they purposely hide the auto-renew information in the smallest fine print, when the consumer thinks they're purchasing a finite subscription. My plan was supposed to be a box shipped one month for 3 months, Then they send you the "auto-renewal" email which they know will go to your spam or junk folders so they can charge you extra for something you don't want, need or didn't enjoy. I've had plenty of subscription services in the past that will work with you on cancelations if the auto renewal occurs and you don't want to approve it before the product ships. This company does nothing and basically says "Oh well, we already have your money". I may have considered using this subscription box in the future but after dealing with their non-existent customer service, that either doesn't respond or says "tough luck" I cannot recommend this to anyone. Absolutely a scam. My advice is to find a more reputable subscription box. This is not worth it!!

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful products. WHAT A BIG WASTE OF MONEY!! RUN! DO NOT BUY!!!!! All of the chocolate melted by the time it got here and made a mess with the other products in the box. I reached out to the company and they said all the chocolate was worth 50 cents, so they provided a 50 cent refund. Then, they came back and said they would refund the shipping, but didn't do that. I am shocked at the terrible customer service. I would not recommend this company and based on their product offering and customer service, they are sure to fail.

Despite the nice curation of snacks…

Despite the nice curation of snacks that I gave to my daughter as a gift for 6 months, I had no intention of renewing. They did not provide any notice of the upcoming renewal, except for 1 day prior to which I promptly replied I did not wish to renew. They sent an email saying "You're breaking up with us?" And then promptly charged my credit card for a renewal and stated that because my email came 1 hour after the deadline, the cancellation was assumed to be for the 6 months after that!! What??? Stop the delivery now, stop the cheating the customer. Either run a valid subscription service and take care of the people who will be your customers and good adverstisements, or get out of the business!
