Ordered a Patagonia product from a seller in Poland ("kamila912"). It was wrapped in plastic with a label showing a Chinese producer and a Polish company as import company. Upon checking the labels inside the product, it was clearly a counterfeit because there was no Patagonia on the tags and both, Style number and PO number were missing. I am not surprised that some sellers are trying to sell counterfeit items on this platform. But after reporting it to Vinted support and claiming that I was sold a fake item, they just ignored the evidence and told me to send it back at my own expense. I am shocked how this company is doing nothing to prevent fraud on their platform creating a horrible use experience.
I miss trendsales. I had better experience with it. I never got my package missing and couldnt get my money back. My case is open for many weeks now and dont hear anything. Also DAO lost my package and only money ı get is %25 of what the thing I sold is cost 😢
Generally it’s very great and I’ve made a good amount of sales so far…Although, there seems to be a bug (might just be me overthinking) regarding ‘bumping’ my items. I’ve experienced that my not-bumped items received over 20 favorites under 6 hours, whilst my bumped items barely get any views or even favorites. Other than that, sales seems to be going flawless.
Worst customer service and customer support I’ve ever experienced in my life. Got my account permanently banned 10 minutes after I made it, while I was making a listing of a low tier Orient watch. Since I’m not constantly glued to my phone I did not notice a message from Vinted saying I had 24 hours to send a picture with username and the watches I wanted to sell. There could be a thousand reasons a person wouldn’t be able to do that. So because of that my account is now permanently suspended and I have made a lot of attempts to contact Vinted and recover it. Even though I did send them proof of anything they needed and more, I’m still banned. Their answers are exactly the same every time and is obviously just a bot, and it is impossible to talk to an actual person no matter what you do. I’m going to recommend to just stay away from this app, especially as a seller. There’s a lot of other alternatives that are so much better, also as a buyer, if you get scammed they claim you will have buyer’s protection, but that is a bold faced lie. And all of this is a very common problem from what I’ve read when I looked into it. So Vinted, you have a lot of work to do to improve your app. And to any future customer or seller I say, beware and stay away. Don’t waste your time here on someone that think you need them, but they need you. It’s also important to note that Vinted will not delete your account, so they can keep selling your information and data.
