My girlfriend and I are proud, hard-working people, so we are especially disappointed by Westgate’s willingness to take advantage of us. Their dirty schemes have cost us over $5,000 of our hard-earned money in just one year, but not a single promise was delivered on.The presentation was far longer than the hour we were told it would be and we had no choice but to stay because the employees took out driver’s licenses. The entire time was spent with them persistently offering us deals no matter how many times we declined. Several salespeople were rotated in, and out- 5 total by the time we finally surrendered. Everything they said was inaccurate. We were never getting real estate like they claimed. We can’t rent the points for extra money, or stay at Disney, or pass this to our kids without them inheriting the huge debt too! They had no problem spending 3+ hours feeding us lies, but FLEW through the contract, not giving us time to look over anything. I’m positive that this was intentional so we could not catch any of their lies. We want to give the timeshare back but have not had any luck. Maybe they’ll care of it when we stop giving them our money!
This company is a scam… they will not let us with you buying a supposed timeshare. They will literally decrease the price several times just to force it. ( which will consume a full day of your vacation.) which I bought in after paying 1/2 the fee my account just randomly stop automatic drafting which canceled the account created a credit inquiry for them to tell me. Well after you completed 1/2 I was suppose to call back a restart the automatic draft. I’ve been calling for a full week trying to get this matter resolved no help. One day they working from home next in the office it’s been a complete night mare. Please stay away
I'm being nice by giving this hotel 1 star. I came here for a Mother's Day getaway but should've followed my first mind and stayed elsewhere. When I first walked in the room, I thought to myself " this isn't too bad" but less than 30 minutes in, I realized I was wrong! The tub had a dirty ring around it, the water constantly drips. I couldn't figure out why my allergies were bothering me every time I'd be lying in the bed....it was because there was a thick layer of dust covering the entire headboard. There's maybe only 4 sockets in the room but NOT ONE close to the night stand. To top things off, on our last night I walked into the bathroom and immediately started screaming. There was a HUGE (And I do mean huge) Cockroach just sitting near the tub!!!! Do yourselves a favor and choose somewhere else to stay, you'll thank me later, trust me!!Oh wait, I totally forgot to mention the timeshare crew that promises a gift after attending a "90 minute" presentation. I'll just keep it short and say, the presentation lasted 3 hours and after telling the sales rep NO at least 4 times, he went to get someone else who tried to offer the same package for THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper. We still told them NO, she then offered the package for an even lower price but it was still NO! FINALLY, they gave us our coupon that was promised and just walked off. The first thing I thought was "why would I buy a timeshare and my room here is a piece of s**t??!!!"
Deceptive advertising on RCI. Very rude manager at Westgate Lakes resort in Branson, MO. They state on RCI they are pet friendly, but when you call its only for dogs or small horses??? Our small bird with clipped wings which resides in a small carry cage was unwelcome at this resort but has been welcome and no problem at any other pet friendly resort on RCI. The manager didn't care that their ad on RCI didn't specify 60 lb dogs or small horses as the only pets they'd accept and didn't care if we could not get our money back because they didn't specify these facts on their site. Avoid these people. If they are not specifying these details, you know there are others they are hiding. And, they clearly don't care if they ruin a family vacation and cost people points and exchange fees they cannot get back.
It all a scam...they try to give u a deed for so.ething so worthless that they themselves do not want back..the first lie is that it will be a 90 mins presentation well it was not. It took 4 hrs.They wear u out and make u really tired..this is the biggest scam...the sell u apt for only 2 weeks a year...and u will have problem getting a space to stay...its not worth
I had the misfortune of dealing with Westgate in Gatlinburg and it’s left me a victim of their timeshare scams. I was promised free gifts for a quick hour of my time, only to be subjected to outright sales fraud! Don’t fall for anything the Westgate salespeople say, they will manipulate you, lie and con you into signing a contract. I’ve been left trapped in a contract with them all because of their greedy sales team. They were very aggressive, at one-point multiple salespeople were bombarding me and constantly pressuring me to sign legal documents that were not properly explained to me. The “exclusive” luxury resorts turned out to be anything but. They said Westgate has a partnership with Disney and that too was all nonsense. Furthermore, I discovered that they ran my credit multiple times without my authorization. How is it that they are getting away with this? This whole ordeal has been terrible, I’ve been financially and emotionally abused by Westgate. I regret ever getting involved with them! This isn’t buyer’s remorse; this is simply fraud. I never thought I’d be in a situation like this and from what I’m reading I’m not the only one that has been scammed. I’ve only been able to use the timeshare 3 times and it was not what I was told it was going to be. This is simply not fair, what I’m paying is nowhere near worth it! I’ve done everything possible to get this sorted out, but I’ve been ignored and none of the salespeople that I’ve tried to follow up with have been responsive. Something must be done! We need to band together to do something about Westgate, this timeshare scam has gone far enough!
Our encounter with Westgate Resorts was an absolute nightmare! The timeshare presentation at their Orlando, FL location, conducted by Oriana Moreno, turned into a 4-hour ordeal of high-pressure sales, misinformation, and even physical detainment by their employees.Ms. Moreno collected personal information, then made an offer that was beyond our means. When we declined, she bombarded us with four more offers, each accompanied by false promises of affordable stays at Westgate properties, including Disney resorts at $499.00 per week. We felt cornered and reluctantly accepted the fifth offer.The contract was filled with discrepancies and misrepresentations. They tried to trick us into signing up for a reference program, charging an extra $500 and violating our privacy. The promised capped pricing for "getaways" was a lie, applying only to select locations within their app.During the rushed contract closing, they brushed aside our questions and failed to disclose vital documents, infringing on our consumer rights.They imposed a 6-8 week processing period, rendering our 10-day cancellation window null and void, as mandated by Florida law. Booking accommodations afterward was a nightmare, with limited availability and inflated prices through Interval International.Westgate Resorts uses deceitful tactics to trap unsuspecting victims. We demand immediate contract termination and a full refund! Avoid Westgate Resorts at all costs, and we'll pursue legal action if they fail to address our distressing experience and refund our hard-earned money!
I am a Navy Veteran, and I served my country with honor and dignity, however I cannot say the same thing for the salespeople at Westgate Resorts. Over a period of 5 hours, we were lied to about so many things. They told us that once we pay off the loan in 10 years there would be zero cost to take vacations for the rest of our lives. Yet, no one bothered to disclose the maintenance fees are perpetual in nature and there are so many nickel and diming fees when you do get to travel (if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation). After declining 6 offers, they wore us down and finally presented a price within our budget, at least that’s what we thought. They told us we could vacation EVERY year for the rest of our lives, yet we discovered they put us on a plan that we can only use every other year. When signing the contract with the notary, we had several questions we wanted clarification on, but she told us she was not allowed to answer any questions, so just sign here and initial there.If you are reading this review, steer clear of Westgate. They will lie, cheat, and steal their way into your bank account. They will hold you hostage and refuse to accept NO for an answer.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM WESTGATE RESORTS- they are liars and deceive any person they can. They will take your money and give you "GOLD TICKETS" for free nights and what they don't tell you is the tickets are nothing but a sales tactic of which you will still pay and you will not be able to stay at the property of choice. We were informed that we would have a free week. NOT. What they don't tell you is the free week would have to be booked in the winter or fall not the summer of which everyone has vacation. This company should be sued for misinformation and lying to get you to purchase a property. I will be seeking an attorney or speaking with the attorney generals office.
This is going to be long, so please bear with me.... my husband and I have OWNED at westgate for about 5 years now. We pay EVERY month on AUTO debit. We'll in DECEMBER 2022 we were on vacation for 2 weeks to be told less than 1 week after check in, yes folks we WERE checked in, and using 2022 weeks, anyway I received a call from more than rude female to tell me I need to go pack my stuff and leave because " 2023 fees for MAINTNACE were not paid yet" Jan.3, 2023 not even a full 24 hours of the due date. We were told since we didn't pay by the 1st yes the 1st that we had to leave our unit immediately. Hahaha my goodness really. Well it gets better I went back to our room, and the next day I called back to speak to someone else to be told I had to pay money now or leave WOW ok. I not only did not pay my full balance because i WAS threatened, but I waited an additional day before calling back yet again to be placed on a payment plan. Now I paid 200 more per month than asked of me #1, #2 I was told that at the end of my payments I would have paid more than enough for my fees! Great right..... ummmm NO, now I can't even get a loan because yup you guessed it MAINTANCE FEES ARE REPORTED LATE, AND NOW WE OWE ALMOST 100 MORE THAN AGREED...... wow I'm still in complete shock. I get it if fees are due by the 2nd pay them, well I had the money it was the point that I was threatened to leave, and loose every week I had left for 2022 (2) even tho NOTHING was due for 2022, and that's what we was using but we now have no weeks, bad name " nonreliable" ect. I was told about I month or so before my final payment they would remove ALL late fees, and interest as soon as my last payment credits. Ok well I Called to ask not to remove nothing mind you they offered this to me, I NEVER asked for this because I didn't even know I was being charges till I called in about my payments. So I told Destiny what was told to me, promosed to me, ect all I needed was a letter stating that they were going to REMOVE THE LATE, AND INTERST from my account as soon as it was paid in May. I was told NO because it is late, and to basically get over it. I told her it SOUND LIKE I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT " CONTACT" MY ATTORNEY, and she said you said attorney I'm going to end this call and hung up. I believe EVERYONE that has ANY timeshare should get together and sue the pants off them for robbing the elder, ( because that's the majority of owners) and get every penny back. I will now do everything in my power to get something changed, but the meantime if you want a 4bd it's for sale for 100,000 right now just let me know!
