Scam Warning – Avoid Weego Rentals at All Costs!I booked a rental with Weego thinking I was getting a fair deal, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. After confirming my reservation, they suddenly demanded that I pay extra for their overpriced insurance — something that was never clearly disclosed when I booked. They told me that if I refused, they would charge me €3,000 In excess. (You don’t know IF you will get your money back)This is not how a legitimate company operates. They hide behind vague policies, spring surprise charges on customers, and essentially force you into paying more than agreed. I had to cancel my booking in disgust, and I feel lucky I escaped before losing even more money.Avoid Weego like the plague. Read the fine print, but better yet, don’t even consider them. There are plenty of honest rental companies out there — this one thrives on deception.

Appalling, dishonest deceitful. Dealt with Licerpool branch and was deceived, t&c not explained and no contract provided. They charged me an additional £700 that i did not agree to. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I rented a car in Bonn - not transparent add-on fees.

I rented a car at Bonn–Cologne Airport.I was charged €20 per day as a cross-border fee for traveling to Belgium, whereas on their website I understood this to be a one-off fee.The car company misled me with hidden or unclear add-on charges.

This company are scammers

This company are scammers, Alicante airport off site rental. When you return the rental they already know what marks are on the car where the customer would not identified i.e under the rear bumper which could easily be removed with Tcut or even toothpaste. They will not except that you have photographic evidence then proceed holding your credit card details, and making a false claim, and taking money without conta cual consent by accepting the false damage.Complaint forms are mandatory in Spain, so this was requested. They was extremely reluctant to accept this request, and even tried to give advise how to fill in. They gave a copy of form and stated this need to be hand delivered to Alicante complaint department. This is another verbal scam this can be emailed For future..... customer thinking of using this company, please be advised with pass experience do not use

Not to be trusted. Cars on website may not be avaliable at all. I had booked a car and received booking number. When I didn't receive a confirmation email after a few days I contact customer service who informed me my booking was rejected. A few emails later I learned they had no cars available. Total waste of my time that could have been avoided if they were honest. Myself and family will not use this company again.

everything was ok till I saw my credit card bill I was charged 21 euro per day for all risk insurance even though I told the staff that I did not require it,when I complained they said the contract was closed and I was 200 euros out ,this was at the Libon airport branch avoid this company they are crooked

Fraudsters! DO NOT USE.Left us waiting for over an hour on arrival at Rhodes airport. Then would only take one person per party to the pickup location. Once that person is alone they claim your credit card declines and you cannot take the vehicle unless you pay an additional insurance, despite having full insurance and very clear instruction on the booking email that you don’t need any additional policy. If you don’t pay they refuse rental and your left stranded on your own, no vehicle and no refund. The card machine then miraculously works for your debit card to pay the forced and fake charge. We were forced to pay an additional €500. This company was recommended and booked by us through Easycar, I have contacted them re our complaint and they have been very quick to refer back to Wheego, accepting no responsibility. I can imagine they have had multiple complaints yet still choose to associate themselves with a corrupt company. I will be avoiding both from now on. Avoid at all costs.

company mislead me to believe inpurched a toll road package while actually many toll roads were not covered follow-up they asked me to contact them following this posting. and guess what ? they haven't replied my email. what a scam

Great car, Very competetive. Make sure you know where they are before collect

I really don't understand all the negative reviews. I booked a car for 5 days from Birmingham airport. It was my first booking with Wheego. The collection point was a train shuttle to the NEC and courtesy pick up, but i didn't mind that. The cost of the hire was very competitive and the car i had was brand new. The deposit was returned with 5 days. I can see how they might be hard to find if you went unprepared. When i phoned for clarification, they were helpful and I was back on track. Would i use them again, absolutely.

My rental experience with this company (Wheego – note: Simply and Wheego are the same company) was a complete disaster.Hidden Deposit Policy – The deposit was nearly 5 times the rental cost, and this was not clearly communicated upfront. It felt like a trap.Unprofessional Pickup Process – When we landed, I called the company and was told someone would come soon to pick us up. A single guy eventually showed up in a small car that could only take me and one other customer. Since he was the only person working, I had to wait another 25 minutes outside until he finished with the first customer. Totally disorganized and unprofessional.Drop-off Scam Attempt – At return, the same guy aggressively inspected the car and tried to blame me for every dent. Thankfully, I had taken detailed photos at pickup. Without them, I’m certain they would have charged me for damage I didn’t cause.Outrageous Charges – Despite the photo evidence, they still billed me 688€ for tiny marks on a plastic part. Even worse, their report falsely claimed a paint job was needed – on plastic! This is clearly a cash grab.Avoid this company at all costs. Dishonest, unprofessional, and exploitative.
