I booked WHEEGO RENT A CAR through DoYouSPain (a booking consolidator whom I have successfully used over several years).The last time I booked through YouDoSpain, I had a genuine accident where I damaged the car door in an underground car park. The cost of the damage incurred was £400 c.€460. This compares to €1,488.51 for what can only be described as minor scatches. Given their size and the speed at which these minor scratches were found when I returned the car indicates that they were probably already known to WHEEGO RENT A CAR.Coupled with the "click bait" charging structure €36.66 and the most expensive tank of fuel known to man, WHEEGO RENT A CAR will significantly negatively impact the YouDoSpain brand. A brand I have trusted for several years.
Incorrect documentation of pre-existing damages and refusal to take responsibility for itWheego presented an inaccurate picture of the pre-existing damages on the rental contract. There were several scratches that were not documented on the contract. I took photos of the car before I used it and sent the photos to Wheego. They refused to correct the error and insisted that these damages had happened during my rental (because I had already signed the contract with the incomplete documentation). I was charged 248 Euros for a damage. My 2 advices for customers: a) Don't rent with Wheego! b) If you have no other option than renting with Wheego: don't sign the rental contract before you have not inspected the car thouroughly. Unfortunately this will cost you a lot of time, because the rental office and the carpark are on different floors (Vienna airport) and you will probably have to queue twice. Christoph Meran
Alicante branch. Hired a vehicle for the week. Had suspicions when I picked it up that they were dodgy. Fortunately, photographed every inch before we drove off. There were lots of dinks and scratches. When I returned it, they scoured every panel and pointed out a dent that was barely perceptible to the naked eye (their weekly money-making dent!). Fortunately, I had a photo of it. They're a scam company. Their profit comes from the dent scams.
One of the worst car hire companies I’ve ever dealt with! I wish I could give negative stars as a rating!!!Car was booked for 19.00 but our flight was delayed and landed at 19.40. 5 minutes walk to the car hire place and a 90 minutes wait to get to the desk for the car! Assistant behind the counter went for a smoke so we had to wait longer!Finally got to the desk to find out because we were not there at 19.00 they gave our car away and had no other cars available. I told him we had been waiting outside for 90 minutes which he denied and said he would check the cctv footage!!!In the meantime he denied a car to a couple with a baby. This meant that their car was available but he wouldn’t give us that car because we were late. All the time, he sat there with a smirk on his face and when I got angry with him, he decided to close the doors and go!Absolutely terrible company that I couldn’t possibly recommend. Ended up going back into the airport and renting with Avis car hire that were so accommodating even though it was late at night and we hadn’t booked in advance. Never ever ever use Wheego - you will seriously regret it!
Renter through Carjet iN katowice, they proposed a higher package thant the one booked online and as we did not pay the insurance when we returned the car 2 daysa after they found (I believe it was already there) a minimum bump almost invisible at eyesight (they guy did not insepct all car but "went directly on that spot"). They chargee 550 Eur to repair it. I highly personally recommend to not use them neither car jet.
We rent a car for one week in Albania (Total200€) with this company and only when we arrive we discover that:- insurance was practically obligatory (240€ more)- was no possible drive in road perfectly paved (consider that this was not write in reservation and in Albania 30%of road are unpaved)- they give us a car with some noise from engine compartment - also if paying insurance they declare that all was included and to not keep deposit they keep other 500€ more because they declare that we drive in unpaved road- the worst experience with rental cars
Never trust this company. They gave me a car full of damages, partly not written down. Impossibly to see and check all in the darkness of this covered garage. Although I had all insurances possible taken and only rented 1 day im still receiving claims.
