Buyer Beware Whirlpool is not what is use to be. They are producing cheaply made appliances that brake down within the first year of ownership. Whirlpool, Maytag and any other brand made by the same company should be turned into the BBB for producing faulty equipment for purchase. Bought a Whirlpool fridge I have not had the fridge for 6 mths and the freezer is already icing over causing issues. It would be in your best interest to go with a more reliable company. Talking to their costumer service is a joke. They just try and sign you up for scams!
Whirlpool website says "no results" for my common Whirlpool Humidifier [Model #: AD50USS0] when I type in the model number. The "Chat" says we are closed and the Customer Support phone number allows no prompt for help. Really poor basic service for such an established company. Booooo
Bought a refrigerator at home depot (another bad experience) the refrigerator will not cool down 2 techs later needs to be replaced so since August 13 have been arguing with this company more than a month later I get told this process to replace can take up to 90 days my only option is to call cc company and cancel this charge and go buy another refrigerator so don't buy whirlpool maytag kitchenaid or amana same customer care
BAD.Very BAD Product Whirlpool 2 in 1 with removable Agitator. Machine NEVER puts enough water cloths stay above the water 😥 Cloths NEVER get cleaned if you put OXI CLEAN powder STAYS on the cloths so you have to RINSE them again I bought it one year ago at the local LOWE’s I can’t even sale it, I hate to be dishonest and get money from something that DOES NOT work a piece of JUNK Ready for recycling 😭Ps Date of experience is started a few days after I purchased May or June 2024 until TODAY.
Shame cant give no stars..My wife purchased 3 appliances from Home Depot, a Whirlpool refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Purchased on 5.25.2025 and installed on 5.31.2025. On July 9th, the microwave stopped heating. I did all the recommended troubleshooting checks then called Whirlpool customer service. After being on hold for 53 minutes, a rep from Tennessee took down all my information and confirmed against our appliance registration submission. Told her the unit did not heat, everything else worked, the lights, fan, etc. Told to hold on, she was transferring me to service. After remaining on hold another 32 minutes, another lady answered, asked for all the same info I had previously given, and said the 1st available appointment was 7.18After waiting a week and given a 8am-4pm window, the service place called and said tech would be out between 12-3. If I knew that a day prior, could have worked 1/2 a day. Tech arrived at 2:53. Nice man carrying a tool belt. He basically did what I did to troubleshoot, put a glass of water in the unit, hit cook, and stopped after 4 seconds. He said he could tell by the sound what was wrong. Not 1 tool was used. He would need to order a few parts, be about a week. My wife called the service company a week later for an update and was told by a lady there " not sure why u are calling, it's only been a week since your service call. So I called and said she was correct, but it's been 2 weeks this microwave has been broke. The service company made no effort to keep us updated. Every time I call, get the same BS, waiting on parts, or 2 parts are in 1 one on backorder. Even called Whirlpool twice and was told on Aug 18, we expedited an order request for the backorder part, but I must wait 14 days to see if it comes in. So 9.9.2025 will be 2 months with a broken wall decoration. I have worked in the service industry for years, both with a battery manufacture and a Telcom company, and we would never treat our customers this way. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL, THEY OBVIOUSLY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR THEIR APPLIANCES
Credit card had a cash back promotion for online purchases at whirlpool. They Charged my card 3 weeks after I ordered, conveniently 1 day after the promotion ended. I called, complained, and cancelled my order. The delivery company still tried to deliver it to my house, and they still charged my card days after it was supposed to be delivered and Wasnt. Terrible customer service and scammy business practices
Bought a washer from Lowe's on June 26th, 2024. It was delivered July 10th, 2024. By August, it was broken. Stopped mid cycle, with water in it. Flashing lights, lid locked. Couldn't do anything. Called lowes, it was outside the 30 days so they wouldn't do anything. Called whirlpool and they sent out a tech- from a different city who only came Fridays to our city and couldn't come for 2 weeks. He got there, didn't have the parts. Took another 2 weeks to get the parts and for him to come back and repair it. Fast forward to July 8th-yesterday. SAME thing happened. Lid locked, full of water. Because I am outside my year warranty- no coverage, even though it was already previously fixed with 3 parts, including a new control board, for the same problem-less than a year ago. Moral of the story, i bought a new washer.... it is NOT a whirlpool. Do yourself a favor and choose a different brand of appliances, whirlpool is JUNK.
I bought a Whirlpool washer through Lowes. Washer died in less than a year. After several technician appointments, countless hours missed at work, numerous calls and lots of money spent at the laundromat over a month’s time of back and forth, Whirlpool still refused to replace it despite warranty saying they have the discretion to do so and offered a minimal discount to buy a new one from their site instead. Stay away from their washers. Stay away from this brand. Be glad I left this review to save you the hassle and your wallet.
I would rate Whirlpool a zero if I could. I purchased a washing machine in June 2024 and it stopped working. The part has been on back order for over 45 days with no ETA. I am forced to purchase another washing machine even though mine is still under warranty. The customer service line is a joke. I wait an hour on hold EVERY time I call and they will not document anything in writing, email or allow you to speak to a supervisor. You have lost me and everyone I know as customers. Worst customer service and company ever.
