Bought a Whirlpool Washer on April 23, 2024 so the washer is just over a year old. They have a known issue on model WTW4816FW for a continuous drain issue but they still want to charge for parts and labor to fix the issue. Minimum service fee of $130 plus the cost of parts. We paid $500 for this washer. We will not be buying any other Whirlpool products. Just ridiculous, talk about not standing by your product. If they would make it right, this review would be totally different.
I purchased the whirlpool gas stove in March 2024 the end of June 2025 the glass on the door came loose. It is not under warranty therefore they will not cover it and in my opinion there is no reason why the adhesive on the glass should’ve come loose so buyer beware of their less than adequate products. Poor quality. Furthermore, instead of trying to make it right all they wanna do is push their extended warranty program and as I told them, they should just build a better quality product if it cost a little more so be it at least you have something worthwhile instead of garbage
UPDATE: Lowe's corporate office called us and reached a resolution. .Back in 2023, I proudly brought home a shiny new Whirlpool fridge for $2,230. from the Lowe's Tifton, GA store location. I thought I was making a smart choice—trusting the brand, the price tag, and the promise of durability. Lowe’s offered us an extended warranty, but I shrugged it off. “It’s Whirlpool,” I said. “Fridges are supposed to last 10 to 15 years!” (According to both Lowe’s and the U.S. Energy websites)Fast forward to July 2025— the faithful fridge gave up. No cooling, no freezing, just a very shiny expensive box. The silver lining? I had an old drink fridge on the back porch that came to the rescue. No food was lost!Naturally, I thought Lowe’s would want to help me as being a loyal customer of over 20 yrs and a pro-business account holder. I called/chatted with Lowe's customer service, and spoke with one of the store managers, and even informed them “I’m renovating my kitchen and still need to buy a stove and dishwasher” which I am, kitchen cabinets are going up this week (not by Lowe's, thank goodness). Nope. Nothing. No refund, no discount, not even a sympathy coupon. I also reached out to Lowe’s warranty department and Whirlpool directly. Spoiler alert: still no help. Just a whole lot of friendly 'I'm sorrys.'Turns out, Lowe’s return window is just 90 days, and Whirlpool’s warranty only lasts a year.So here I am, fridge-less and frustrated, sharing my story, so companies can bring back true customer service. Lesson to all other customers': always get the extended warranty—even if you think you’re buying quality and double check the store's return policy. Because sometimes, even the most trusted brands leave you out in the cold… or in my case, not cold at all. Final point... Even if Armageddon begins or I'm being chased by zombies, I will never set foot in a Lowe's store again or buy Whirlpool, unless they make me an offer I cannot refuse.
I would give them zero stars but I had to assign one. Absolutely worst appliance company in the world. Crappy products that break down in a few short years and repairs so expensive you are better off buying a new product. I have NEVER seen such gross, stupid incompetence in my life. 6 weeks and they still have not repaired my washing machine. On top of that, they are sneaky idiots, selling the same products under names of once respected and trusted companies. Beyond belief. Screw them. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL.
My refrigerator was 4 months old when it stopped working. I called customer service who did not have an engineer in my area. The next day I was told to arrange repair myself. Eventually they sent someone out who did not fix it. He came back and ordered parts. He returned and it still did not work . More parts were ordered. I am now 7 weeks in and the refrigerator does not work. They won’t refund me. They won’t replace it. It. Takes 45 minutes to get through on the phone to a person who is not able to help. The email gets nowhere. The escalation department does not reply. They are a terrible company with a terrible product. I note the CEO received $13 million last year.
Stay away from Whirlpool and its brands. I have always considered myself a loyal Whirlpool customer and have equipped my last four homes with Whirlpool brand refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers, and dryers. No longer. My recent experience with their high end dishwashers has changed my mind. This dishwasher has had something wrong with it since it became 2 years old. Soap dispenser (2ea), control panel, door seal, bottom seal, gasket, drain pump, and door panel. After 3 years of this regiment of parts' replacement by their "authorized" service provider the machine was deemed "not repairable" and I was provided a check for $267 and summarily dismissed. Whirlpool claims their dishwashers are built to last 10-15 years. I say "No Way". Whirlpool stands behind their products. "Not a Chance" Their exclusive arrangements with their extended warrantee company and the authorized service agency are not trained, not capable, and not timely. I asked for a second opinion from a different tech agency...Nope. Looking back, I certain the cost of their extended warrantee program was far greater than the $267 check I received. When looking for your next appliance, I strongly suggest you stay away from Whirlpool and its brands. Just an FYI...Whirpool, Maytag, Jennair, KitchenAid, and Amana. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more now for a better product and save time and money later. Or you can buy a less expensive brand and use it until it stops working and replace... Don't get ripped off like me.
I would rate thid less than 1 star if it will allow me. I have a whirlpool oven and it is total garbage. We had a part go bad after LESS THAN ONE YEAR of use. Nownit has gone out again. I will NEVER purchase another whirpool product, and I tell everyone I know to NEVER buy a Whirpo brand product.
I wish I could give a zero! I ordered a fridge filter last year. It didn't work in the fridge, no returns because it was open, even though it is the one that they said would work with that fridge.A year later they send me another filter and charge my card for it. I don't need it. I didn't ask for it. I try to return in 6 weeks after arrival to be told that it is too late. I ask for an exception as I have been out of town settling the estate after the unexpected death of my father. They start to question if I was really out of town for that long. I asked for a supervisor. The rep comes back to ask if and when I attempted to call before. Puts me on hold to wait for the supervisor. The rep comes back again to state that she asked the team lead and they said no. I asked again to speak with a member of management at which time she tells me that they don't have managers, they only have team leads. Really no managers in all of Whirlpool? I ask? Then she says that's not what I said. Please somebody pull the recording of that rep lying and then asking me why I'm getting upset and stating that I am being"extra" and that I am only upset because she isn't giving me the answer that I want. I will never purchase one of their appliances again and will tell everybody that will listen about this foolishness.
My not quite 4-year old side by side whirlpool stopped cooling--compressor died. They sent out Appliance Professionals co. who charged $119 to tell me it could be the start relay or the compressor. For another $200 they will replace the start relay but no guarantee. They knew the compressor was bad. I replaced the start relay myself--the compressor is bad. I purchased a GE--will see how that works out. Whirlpool products are as worthless as their warranties.
