Purchased a home in at the end of July with new appliances included. We recently got power turned on and plugged in our new fridge. To our surprise it did not cool, so we reached out and was told to contact whirlpool as it was under warranty. We contacted whirlpool who then would not put the warranty start date as the day we got power, keep saying it had to be the day we bought the home. (Strike one - they made me lose 2 months of a warranty). Then they offered me a service plan for additional insurance on the appliance which I refused. Then they told me for a service tech to come out it would cost me $150. When I told them it was a new appliance and that it should not cost me, they told me that is why they offered me the other plan. So to avoid the $150 fee, I signed up for the insurance at a discounted rate. (Strike 2 - Scam to force you into an insurance purchase). The service Tech comes out and says they are unable to do the repair, so we call back and they tell us they will have to send anther company out. They did not provide me a date, so I called back to be told that they are trying to find someone as there is no other service providers in my area. Then they start asking for move-in date documents which can't be provided as we have not moved in. Since we could not provide a date, they then ask for purchase documents of the home (which should not be any of their business). Then proceeded to tell me that they will call me back the next business day. (Strike - 3 refusing to replace a broken appliance)
My Whirlpool model WTW4816FW3.It broke down four months after the warranty expired. I called WP for this issue and their support were very terrible. They transfered one person to the next one, and the wait times were almost half of the day.The last person could not help me much. She collected the model and the serial number of the machine and told me that my machine is out of warranty.I still have other two machines; the dishwashing and the refrigerator. Once they get older, I will get rid of them and will never come back!
I wish I could rate 0 star. I have a washer and dryer which a brand new, used for 2 months. But now it stopped working. I made a call for service appointment. They put me 10 days after. I couldn't dry my clothes. At the date, no one has come for the service. I tried to call multiple number of Whirpool, but noone answer although that is the weekday (Thursday).Awful service, awful products.
I would never buy a Whirlpool, thier products suck, and they waste people timeI bought a House last year 2024 and the washer came with the house I called to have warranty work done because the washer was stuck in drain mode, They said they could not just send me the replacement part and they had a repair company come to verify, I made an appointment and took a day off work.Unbeknownst to me the appointment was canceled no messages no calls nothingDay of appointment my scheduled time came and passed, I called whirpool and ask what happened? They said they can make another appointment but I told them no because yall wasted my time and day off, can yall just ship me the part, they told me no....so Im here online and ill post this review everywhere I can online warning people dont buy whirpool crap
I would give them a HUGE 0 if it was possible!! Worst company I've had to deal with!! Not even a year yet!!I bought a whirlpool washer/dryer combo that I have had Nothing but issues with seems like it's been pretty much every month!! I've not even had it a year yet! I have spoken to SEVERAL different people but seems I just keep getting the run around from everyone pretty much. I called whirlpool spoke with a gentleman on of those many times that said I could take it back to home depot for a full refund for the appliance and the 5yrs extended warranty I purchased as well! Then after loading this HEAVY appliance I get there just for home depot to call them... Whirlpool says" Oh he wasn't supposed to do that" then the supposed supervisor tell us that he's going to Reprimand the gentleman that told me that. I have pretty much Begged for months wanting to get a refund due to I have NO faith what so ever in this company or any whirlpool appliances now!! I have NEVER dealt with a business that doesn't want to satisfy the customers! One thing I have learned is Whirlpool is just all about the Almighty dollar.Money means more to them than the customers. Then finally spoke to someone (supervisor supposedly) she says whirlpool doesn't give refunds that all she is allowed to do is send a replacement. So instead of listening and caring about how much we are unhappy with Whirlpool appliances and just giving me a refund so I could go buy a trustworthy brand I now have to wait for a replacement while I've already been out Alot of money because I'm having to take time out of my day to go to a laundry mat to have clean clothes which mind you has been happened several times since getting this washer/dryer combo. If this is the way Whirlpool is towards their customers about their Faulty products then I wilI make sure that anybody and everybody knows how they treat and care about their customers!! I will NEVER purchase anything that Whirlpool has any affiliations with again!! I hope that no one else has to go through all this just be treat like I'm a nobody just another unsatisfied customers!!I see now as well as everyone else will that the reason whirlpool is only a repair repair repair and then replace not refund is because they CAN NOT and WILL NOT stand up for their Faulty products/appliances because they know that their products are NOT WORTH BUYING and this is the only way that they are making money! They let customers purchase their products just for them to not work properly and not do refunds!! Well, whirlpool you might have screwed me as well as other I'm sure but now I know what kind of people your company is and stands for!! Whirlpool should be ASHAMED at how they do business with their customers!!
Ordered a washer and dryer through Insider Pass in June. Within 6 weeks the washer stopped working. Have had two techs out so far and each time they have to "order a part" and the schedule for getting it fixed gets pushed back over and over. It's been a month and a half with no washer and trying to get ahold of Whirlpool for a replacement is impossible.
Recently purchased a Whirlpool top load washer. Very disappointed. No detergent dispenser. No end of cycle signal. No info provided on length of time for cycles. Extremely difficult to talk to a live person in customer service. Received an email for a product review and the field was blank. I have purchased Whirlpool appliances for more than 40 years NEVER AGAIN!
Whirlpool CorporationBuyer beware...we purchased a whirlpool washing machine May of 2024. It stopped working 3 weeks ago. I contacted Lowe's to check on the warranty. It only had a 1 year warranty. I contacted our local repair service, Kincaids in Shelbyville, TN, to discover that an issue with the control board in specific Whirlpool washers. Kincaids was wonderful in helping me without charging us anything and letting us know there was a known issue. They instructed us to reach out to Whirlpool. I immediately contacted Whirlpool to discover our washer was on the known issue list. Whirlpool set us an appointment with Ken's Appliance repair in Murfreesboro, TN. Within 30 minutes I received a call from Ken's stating they would need to order the part. I asked how long it would take. We going into week 3 and it will be another week before anyone is here to do the repairs. I have been spending $70-80 a week at the laundromat and Noone gives a crap. Whirlpool will not give a reimbursement and Ken's is taking their sweet time. Every time I have calked for an update I have gotten the run around with both Whirlpool and Ken's. I expressed frustration with Ken's because I will have to take off work, but they will not give me a time until the night before so that means an entire day off work because I can't wait until the night before to request time off. The girl from Ken's hung up on me. Again, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
Used to be Whirlpool missionary but not anymore! Whirlpool told us 4 weeks ago replacement parts for our brand new water softener that broke around the 30 day mark were going to be mailed to us in 5-7 business days. We have since called and left multiple messages, multiple emails, which no one responds. I just went to their website to do "live chat" and have been waiting for almost 1 hour with message "Please wait while we connect you to an agent." It's quite clear Whirlpool is NOT what it used to be! And unfortunately makes sense why they are 1.5 stars on Trustpiolot and 2.8 stars on Google. I should have seen this before I spent the money on a brand new unit. It's has now been sitting in my basement longer broken than it was working. Until this gets resolved I will NEVER buy Whirlpool product again. This already cost them a sale since I just bought a new microwave, there was an LG and Whirlpool on sale for the same price - which one do you think I bought!
