If I could give 0 stars I would! DO NOT buy their products! Terrible customer service and terrible appliances! We purchased a home that had a whirlpool oven. We recently changed our WiFi and did not update the WiFi on the oven. The oven locked itself and no longer works! We contacted whirlpool to correct this issue and they mentioned we'd have to cover cost of the technician and the motherboard because of the software malfunction.
I would give a no star review if I could. We purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer thinking Whirlpool was a trusted reliable brand. The washer being only sixteen months old the drain cycle stuck and will not cycle out. It took one half hour on phone with automated answering just to be directed to recording telling me I can go online and set up a service call. Only to find out two days later from a contractor that it was covered by Whirlpool but NO ONE KNOWS WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE, IT'S ON BACK ORDER. After calls and emails. No response from Whirlpool after three weeks. MADE IN CHINA JUNK!
The customer care is lacking. When I called in to report a problem, instead of helping me appropiately the woman on the other end of the line was more interested in selling me the extended warranty. Because she failed to point me to the most common problem which the tech. Said they are aware of, even after I asked, I ended up paying for the service call after he fixed the washer. The service men themselves are more helpful than the individuals working in the office for the company.
I purchased an over range microwave w/ airfryer directly from Whirlpool that included the extended warranty. After 5 months of usage the microwave stopped working. They have sent repair people out 6 times to "fix" it and replace more and more parts with still NO LUCK. The customer service and urgency to resolve this issue has been terrible. DO NOT PURCHASE from Whirlpool.
Horrible customer service. I bought my dryer brand new from Lowe's, registered the appliance, pay for insurance on it, and they delivered me a dryer that does not have heat and the dial does not move. I've been on hold for 2 hours this week and can not get through to anyone. But they don't mind taking my money! Never again!
Whirlpool/Maytag refused to replace the glass cooktop while under warranty. On August 14th their recommended technician came out to examine a hairline crack in our electric Maytag oven/cooktop. Whirlpool/Maytag refused to replace the repair because they called the crack cosmetic. I called back and scheduled another service call with a different repair company that they sent on the 29 of August and they again denied the replacement even after this service calls there were now 2 cracks. I spoke to a care advisor, a supervisor and a manager over a period of 3 or 4 days and they wanted to call the cracks cosmetic. The manger state that cast iron skillets or cooking wear that doesn't have smooth bottoms could cause gouges in the cook top. That was a ridiculous statement. Glass cooking tops are not wood or plastic that one could make a gouge if they were beating the stove top with them. Sliding cookware across the glass top wouldn't make the glass crack. The model number of my Maytag stove/cook top is MES8800PZ1. Avoid this model and I would encourage anyone considering a Whirlpool or Maytag appliance to think twice about buying since they wouldn't honor their one year warranty.
I’m beyond frustrated with my Whirlpool washing machine. It lasted only 1½ years before completely failing—after nothing more than normal, careful use. For the price I paid and the name on the machine, I expected years of reliable service, not a costly piece of junk in under two years. This was a COVID-era build, and it shows. The quality is simply not there, and it feels like customers were sold rushed, cheaply made products that were never built to last. Whirlpool may have been a trusted name in the past, but my experience has proven that’s no longer the case. This breakdown has been expensive, inconvenient, and a total disappointment. I will never buy Whirlpool again, and I’ll make sure others hear my story before they spend their money. If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind—look elsewhere.
Requested to speak with someone in management a half of dozens times without success. I have called the manufacturer for resolutions without success. Yet, somehow you consider yourself to be a service company. Here are my challenges...A month to get an appointment. Time away from work to accommodate the appointment.Technician doesn't have part to repair the reported repair .No one checks the truck for supplies or contacts the customer to inform the dont have the part Parts on back order.Part ships directly from manufacturer to me.No Accommodation to existing service order.I'm put back in order with new service requestsExpected to take off work again for the repair.3 month process to repair an appliance (3000.00)less than a year old. There needs to be guardrails to protect consumers from manufacturers and service company who lack integrity and humanitarian empathy.Disappointed and Frustrated,Jacqueline
