Rude and childish

I called for a quote and their quote sounded too good to be true. I looked at reviews and there are some really bad ones. The next day, I got a text from him saying I wasted his time! It was my understanding that was his job. I wouldn't move with these guys if I was moving to Hades.

Really aggressive salespeople and shady…

Really aggressive salespeople and shady fee structure. I asked for a refund and cancellation and they all turned into 12-year-olds. They left me on hold, made multiple, unnecessary transfers I did not ask for, and literally texted me mocking my name after I was consistent about canceling. Bizarre behavior but I guess that’s normal. I worked with Nick Toto on the sale; he was aggressive and slightly weird. But the true toddler was Carl Charles, who thinks it’s funny to mock people just because they cancel the service. Edit: Rather than grow up, they flagged this as defamatory, so I submitted the picture of them mocking my name to Trust Pilot. If this gets taken down, I’ll submit it elsewhere. Glad to know the whole company is full of infants. Makes a lot of sense.

BAIT AND SWITCH AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

This company provided us with a horrible customer service experience after we paid over $16,000 which we were only expected to pay $8000 and BRIGHTSDIE PERFORMED a bait and switched on us less than 12 hours before they were supposed to come and pick up our stuff. They tell you they're gonna call you 3 to 5 days as a compliance call and they never called they then say that they're going to call you 24 hours before drop off they gave us a 2 hour window on a Saturday morning before they dropped off our items. After further investigation we're missing multiple items from our move the follow up call about our situation they tried to offer us $650 and then Maya tried to turn around and offer me $750 because she provided horrible customer service and now they won't even respond back to us and we have items missing my 5 year old son is missing toys and we are missing personal items and this company will not respond!!!! ******DO NOT USE THEM*****

run, Don’t walk

run. don’t walk away from this company. shame on them, particularly Adriel, the manager. misleading. Don’t trust their pricing or the delivery dates. yes, they are a third party, but unlike other 3rd party agents, once you are scheduled, the communication stops. Unreliable and completely misleading info. Do NOT USE. shame on them.

Customer service is just not a priority…

Customer service is just not a priority for this company. The initial sales call should have been a video call so they can accurately give you a price for all of the things that need moved. Secondly, we were scheduled an appointment for a quality assurance call on Friday (3-5 days before our moving dates of Tuesday or Wednesday). No one called me. When I called them, they said “we are just really busy, someone will call you either later today or tomorrow. No call happened on Saturday, and when I called them I was told the same thing. No call Sunday. I called them on Monday to find out if movers were coming on Tuesday or Wednesday (bc I couldn’t get a specific day nailed down from the beginning) and that’s when they reviewed my whole house on a video call. Literally 12 hours before movers arrive I find out my price is changing from 8k to 16k. When the actual movers (movers express with Nate and his crew) showed up the next morning, they were great and the only good thing about the experience. Nate called his boss and said how it was going to be more like 18k worth of stuff and the truck Brightside said he would need for us was BARELY going to work. Nate advocated for us and his boss agreed to the 16k price for our move. Thirdly, I called Brightside to speak to a manager that morning because I was furious about the no call no show which gave us no time to move our stuff on our own over the weekend. Good lord, if anyone gets Maya on the phone just ask for someone else. She was literally saying to me all of the phrases that are the worst thing to say to a customer and you train your employees NOT to say. She said “that’s not my problem” “you could just change your move date” “I don’t know what to tell you, the price is the price and that’s it” “no you can’t speak to a manager” “I’m not a manager but I’m the supervisor on duty, and I don’t know when I a manager will be here today”. Her lack of empathy was astounding. Lastly, regarding the drop off of our belongings, we were supposed to get a call 24 hours in advanced of the delivery date, and we got a 2 hour notice on the Saturday morning Memorial Day weekend. Just all around poor experience due to subpar processes at the beginning to ensure proper pricing, and then they don’t call when they say they will call so that you can plan.

Worst Service Ever

On May 1st, 2025, we contracted Brightside to handle our move from Florida to Ohio. I was quoted a price without anyone coming out and looking at what we had to move. Two or 3 days before the first available pick up day they reviewed what I had, and price went up 50%. I was stuck. It was too late to hire someone else and they knew it. We agreed to pay it since we really didn't have a choice. The 3 day pick-up window was honored and on the 3rd day a company arrived and said they wanted $3,000 more. That was enough We told them we're not paying a penny more. Even if we had to cancel our house closing in Ohio and lose a $2,000 deposit. It just didn't matter. We felt we were being scammed and we weren't giving the one more dollar. The driver went to the cab of his tractor and came back and said his supervisor said they would go ahead and move us for the agreed upon price. They loaded up, took our belongings and instead of delivering it two days later, they unloaded 12 days later. Leaving us to find living arrangements for the 12 days. I called Customer Service everyday and got voice mail and no one called back. After several days of this I finally called sales and they answered everytime. Of course Sales always answered. They would get ahold of CS and transfere me. It was the only way I could talk to CS. CS basically told me to call the company they had contracted to move us. They had washed their hands after we paid them. We never paid the Trucking company a penny. We paid Brightside.Other companies had reviewed all of our belongings from the pictures from when our house was for sale and guaranteed the price. No exceptions. Go with one of those. Also, look at the BBB review of Brightside. I wish I had. We feel that Brightside owes us for some of the living arrangement expenses. We were completely mislead by the sales department.

Do not do it

Do not do it. Unless you want your valuable belongings damaged and carelessly thrown from truck to truck. They do not use the same truck to transport it to your new location and they throw everything. I have a $6,000 toolbox that is now useless because of the carelessness of the company droping it breaking the wheels, bending damaging the outer shell so bad you cannot open 2 drawrs and the box is no longer square it sits crooked so it is a fall hazard and the whole locking assembly to the box is no longer operational. Family heirlooms are now broken and trash beyond repair
