I have had a good experience with Xlibris. I wrote a children's book called "Where Is The North Pole?" The illustrations are well done. I am impressed with the way that the book turned out. I like the colors that were used. I also like the large book print. They used black book print in large letters against a white background. The repetition of language helps children learn to read. Children of ages 3-8 will enjoy seeing Santa Clause and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. They will see snow and many Arctic animals. It is important that the child have access to a compass so that he/she learns that the compass points North to the North Pole.
Xlibris is not a publishing company it is a printing company. At the beginning the author is told of all the things that Xlibris are going to do. When it comes to the crunch things, that were promised, are only delivered after the author pays more and more money. They send out a press release to newspapers but not to Literary magazines or booksellers. The Author is expected to sell the book but none of the Booksellers are carrying the book because Xlibris hasn't told them of its existence. I have written more books but will not be dealing with Xlibris again
DONT USE THIS COMPANY THIS WAS MY FIRST BOOK I GOT VERY RUDE PEOPLE HAD TO SWITCH PEOPLE ON TOP OF THAT THEY MADE ME CHANGE MY BOOK AROUND I APPROVE AND THEY STILL PUBLISH MY BOOK WORLD WIDE WITH THE WRONG MANUSCRIPT THE MANUSCRIPT THEY ToLD ME TO CHANGE NO HAD APOLOGIZED NO REMORSE I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN THIS MADE ME THINK BOOK AUTHORS WERE TRASH THEY WAY I GOT TREATED I EVEN HAD A MARKETING PERSON TELL ME I WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO TO HOLLYWOOD THESE PEOPLE ARE WRONG AND ILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN IM GOING TO GET A JOB THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY BOOK AND ME WAS TRASH SMH NEVER AGAIN PLEASE RESEARCH THE BOOK COMPANY YOU USE
