Review Time
The process for my children’s book from beginning to end was more time consuming than expected. The illustrations lacked details and were not visually interesting . The color pallet was flat and out dated .I didn’t catch some grammar errors and the editor missed them also and with that the book was published with errors.
The end-product was very good: the book that was eventually published is one that I am proud of. But the process was difficult and frustrating. Communication was very poor. People at Xlibris were not good about responding to emails or phone calls, and when they did respond, their answers were often evasive or unclear. I would not work with Xlibris again.
I generally had a bad experience.During the period of frustration,November 2020 to April 2021, I feel my whole creativity and ability to write poems was stiffled. I hate computers, passwords, electric signing, being transferred from one person to another, The topper was the Market Package from that person named Marcus with the bottom line being $7,500. This was really upsetting.
Xlibris has been truly wonderful in helping us through our first experience of publishing. Their customer service right from the beginning has been very professional and they have guided us through each step to make our dreams come true. I would highly recommend any writers to fulfill their publishing dreams with Xlibris.
A really big heart felt word of appreciation goes out to Xlibris. I had been holding onto my manuscript for years and finally i was coached to publication. I am so happy and the service throughout the process was so professional. It was a leap of faith and ii am so satisfied. One very satisfied customer. Crow Bell. Author of Shooter’s Bride.
