Review Time
Nothing was done until I pestered each of the many individuals who worked on my project. Apparently the system is to do nothing until the client complains. Then you get into "pass the buck" mode -- at lest four people "worked" on my project. A job which should have taken a week has taken at least three monthsAnd it is still not complete!
This was my first time publishing a book and I was super nervous but Maegan Arevalo gave me confidence in the first phone call. I could tell she wanted to genuinely support my journey in publishing my book. I appreciate the feedback and support I received from Maegan and Renee who were patient and helpful with the process of editing and preparing the book. Thanks Xlibris!!
I would have given Xlibris a 5 star review the day we finished with my book and sent it for publishing. From the time I made my final payment till now I wouldn't give them 1 star. The marketing department is horrible, Every time I should have received something I had to call for it and the general lack of concern is sucks. There is no realistic way to find out how many books you have sold. I could go on........
i have published two other books with another publishing company but was not too happy with having no special person to work with. When I came to Xlibris (recommended by a friend) had Leila Davis as my Consultant. Wow! What a difference! Leila took me under her wing and carried me through all the twists and turns of getting my book published. She was more than a voice on the phone....she was very easy to talk with and during our experience together I feel I have another great friend in the publishing world....My next book is on it's way to Xlibris in the next few weeks.Lee G. Harvey, Author of "Riders Up! HandicapperDown"
The editing and "putting the book together" process ran smoothly, however, when it came to the delivery of the products, it was a disappointing and frustrating process, as I'd have to request over and over again, an attempt to charge me twice and lack of communication between the team was just a couple of things I had to deal with. The marketing consultants were insistently calling to sell offers. This is understandable, but a different approach was expected. Other than that, I thanks the Xlibris team for assisting me in the process of publishing my work.
