It took 8 months for a job promised in 2 to 3 weeks.

The finished job looks very good but in December of 2020 the salesman told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks and Xlibris would be sending notifications to 28,000 book sellers all over the world. The 3 weeks extended to ten months after I dealt with 7 or 8 different employees because they have so many steps to go thru. It would be much better to deal with one person from beginning to end.

Rae and Genevieve were very helpful and efficient. My book was released on 8/3/21 and it’s been difficult to get sales numbers for the amount of books I have sold. This is important to me as I am trying to assess if I should publish the 2nd book I wrote. Thank you for reaching out!

In honest truth I believe exlibris is good

I believe exlibris is a good business. But in honest I feel they can do better. There are times I don't get a response until months later, but I get it's covid. Sometimes it's just hard to understand the situations

Horrible

Horrible. The product was terrible quality and the Service was just as bad I’ll be sure to mention this in my tour interviews and media.

Continuous hard sell

Continuous hard sell, for printing, editing, design, marketing, etc. Calls from salespeople was a turnoff for working with this company.

This is the second book I have published. The first proof was very very accurate. The typeset and font were better than before and the cover art selected really popped. I should win a Pulitzer when I publish with Xlibris, again.

Xlibris Understands Customer Service

I was recruited to use Xlibris through a colleague. She was very happy with her book and introduced me to her publisher. One of Xlibris' strongest assets is the ability to listen and then execute the author's vision. Customer service is also something they have truly mastered. Throughout the process, I felt like I was moving along an assembly line. Each would communicate next steps. When I had questions, they were addressed. Communication is how they were able to take my vision and produce a beautiful product. Xlibris does beautiful work and I will publish with them again in the future.

Worst Publishing Company I've Ever Used

These people are very poor and morally dubious. I had spoken to one of their people who immediately tried to sell me the highest priced one. I was only 11 (but was serious and had a book written) and said I had to call later and speak to my parents. They talked with me and we decided not to go with that company. After we told Xlibris this, they immediately started calling me daily, or even more frequently. My parents eventually called them and told them to stop contacting me, so this is the email I got from them:This is [name left out for privacy], your publishing consultant with Xlibris Publishing. I do understand the side of your parent but try to think and realize that at the end of the day, this is not their book, this is your book, this is your legacy forever and I know at the end of the day, your parent will be very proud of you. I’ll take note of your mother’s concern to do not call again, but I think email could still our way of communication? But try to keep my proposal and we don’t know maybe in the future you can do this on your own specially on the investment needed. If you need assistance please feel free to send me an email so I can help you.Overall a very dodgy service. Would not recommend!
