I purchased in May took forever to come and now I have a subscription charge 29.99 for what exactly I’m still confused. They never sent me any more products so what is the subscription for and why add it to my purchase without explanation or consent of future charges. This business is a scam and preying on consumers buyer beware 🚨🚨
Terrible product that leaks dye everytime it is used. Also the BOGO free extra scrubber was in a ziplock back instead of original packaging (EWWWW!! Was it a used return?!). Finally, like others have said I started getting reoccurring fraudulent charges even though I never signed up for a subscription order. Stay away from this scam company!!!
SCAM! Do not order! Placed an order end of may, which took 3 weeks to arrive from China. This week I noticed 2 extra payments taken from my bank account, when contacted the customer service they told me that apparently it's a subscription that I chose (I didn’t!)at the checkout although no more products received (apparently is a subscription to updates in new products)No email confirmation for the subscription or any email about the subscription existing/starting nor any legal information about it like how to cancel or amend it.The company only offers a 20% refund of the last charge as courtesy, it’s a SCAM!
I placed a one-time order with Afro Scrub on May 20th for $24.18. The product arrived as expected — it’s okay, decent for sensitive skin — but that’s where the good part ends.Without my knowledge or consent, they added some so-called “VIP Membership” to my cart during checkout. I never saw it, agreed to it, or signed up for a subscription. Then came the shock: I was charged $29.99 on June 20th and again on July 20th for this "VIP" nonsense — $60 in total for absolutely nothing. No email, no product, no notification — just hidden recurring charges for something I never wanted. This is not just bad business — it’s deceptive and predatory. When I reached out to cancel, they asked me to prove the charge with a screenshot, which makes it even more frustrating. If you’re considering buying from Afro Scrub, do not use your main credit card. Use a virtual card or avoid them altogether. This is a textbook subscription trap.
While I received the item after it finally shipped from China. I didn't get any emails or the like until AFTER I received a new "monthly" charge 30 days from my previous purchase. They sign you up for a subscription... by calling it a free gift. SCAM!!!
Afroscrub is a total scam. They automatically add to your basket at checkout an item that appears to be a free gift but is actually a subscription service. You only find out about this after they have charged you and they apparently do not offer refunds. The sponge nets were fine but the business is totally unethical and corrupt. Not with your business, order from someone else.
the net scrubs are good in themselves, but like other reviewers have said it automatically subscribes you to a £23/per month subscription which you are unaware you have subscribed to. the customer service is decent however they take a while to post out and delivery instructions are unclear on the website. also think the scrubs are not worth the money you pay however they're decent products but you could definitely get them cheaper.
