I've been shopping at Aldi regularly for a number of years now and I find the whole experience to be fine. The selection of items meet my needs, my local Aldi is within easy walking distance of my home and the staff are always attentive. I can also use my UW cash-back card at Aldi, which helps towards my monthly utilities bill. I like that they have now started putting a Food Bank donation basket in-store.
Took 2 cheese sauces back that are not what it says on the packet, it has been filled with a version of their Apple Bramley sauce. Got a refund but obviously something went wrong in production/packaging. This could have affected someone with an allergy so wanted to report to customer services as not sure the store will bother to feed it back. Hopeless website no direct link to a dept for this, no phone number, no chat bot not that I like these and old email address now defunct. So 1 star for customer service Aldi.
Overrated and rubbish, quality of fruit and vegetables questionable. Bought a honeydew melon and was rotten. Crisps were stale. Milk always goes off. Cereals tasteless. No idea how they manage to convince shoppers that it's a good supermarket. And not that cheap either, most items are overpriced.
Very Disappointing Customer Service ExperienceDear Aldi Customer Service,Today, I visited one of your stores with my family to do some shopping. When I arrived, I asked the security guard if they could help me get a trolley because I didn’t have a £1 coin. He told me to go to customer service after I started shopping and they would exchange a coin for me.However, when I went to customer service, they refused to help. Both the customer service staff and the security guard were rude and unhelpful. I became very upset and frustrated. Because of this, I left all of my shopping — food, drinks, and everything — inside the store and left without buying anything. This experience made me feel very angry and disappointed. I usually like shopping at Aldi, but today’s service was unacceptable. I hope Aldi will look into this situation and remind staff to be more polite and helpful to customers.Thank you for your attention.Kind regards, A
Absolutely appalling. Located in an area in Leamington close to a chav neighborhood, it attracts the most ignorant, rude and disposable people who push in front of you while selecting your products. I heard an employee describing a routine brawl at the store. This is hardly surprising considering that Aldi deliberately and actively encourage the most unpleasant experience for customers just for profit and screw the public. They use huge tanks for trolleys. These oversized, bulging giants occupy almost a whole aisle. Then, customers are forced to navigate around the barricaded aisles of enormous steel cages blocking access to products. Other supermarkets don't engage in such negative activity, despite them being much larger, perhaps due to having more respect for customer experience, whereas Aldi clearly demonstrate their utter contempt for customers. Their so-called customer services dept have expressed with denial and downright rudeness when contacted. I have witnessed the constant friction among customers and heard about the brawls breaking out between them due to limited space and access. I would advise that if you find yourself involved in this, seek legal action against Aldi.
It's not much better when you apply to work for these lot, started the application was told I could answer their very long scenarios at my pace and save as I go, then 2 days later my application has been wiped from.the portal.that I had to waste time setting up.
Today I bought a coleslaw who expired on the 10th October the color was a bit yellow but the lady at the till said: this is how it’s supposed to look. I purchased and after I eat a few spoons I had stomachache and diarrhea. They offer me a £3.19 as a voucher for the inconvenience. What!!! I have been in pain and in bed and the pharmacy wants £22.00 for the right medicine. I have pictures to add but I can’t see where I can attach them.Useless and uncaring
I have been shopping every couple of months for mainly meat Chicken fish for my freezer. So far it’s been fine on my last shop on 02/10/25 the New Zealand Lamb Steaks were not good when I came to defrost they were dreadful so fatty with what looked like skin running on the back of one of the steaks in each pack that I used ( I bought 5 packs ) was dreadful by the time I had cut away the fat and animal skin there was hardly any lamb steaks left. The best bit is trying to contact Aldi first I tried the customer service portal no good , then I tried chat. waited half an hour still no agent it was supposed to be a 5 minute wait . I also noticed on my last shop their prices are not much different to other supermarkets.
