We took out extra excess coverage for car hire through Allianz, and were glad we had when a mysterious scratch appeared on our hire car. As directed, Europcar took the excess off our credit card deposit. We immediately contacted Allianz to make good on our insurance, as we were down over £500 by this point (and racking up interest on a credit card!)We first placed the claim in August and it has been really really challenging to communicate with someone who can help us. It turns out that the insurance is through the French arm of Allianz, and we have really struggled to speak to a claim handler. We have sent several emails, and received responses asking for things we already submitted. It has been several weeks now and we do not seem to be making any progress with the claim, despite having provided all the documents requested. Would not recommend extra cover with Allianz through gotrentals.com. We took out the cover so it would give us peace of mind, and because the process for claims looked easy. This has not been the case. I expected more professional service from a multinational insurance giant and I would really really like to speak to someone who can help me to organise my refund.
Having taken out Pet insurance for my two cats with Sainsbury's Pet Insurance, I would like to warn others of the deceiptful and uncaring attitude of this company. PLEASE do NOT take out insurance with them, and if you find youself having insurance with them already, send your pets history in full so they can add endless exclusions to the policy before you claim. It appears that they will find any possible excuse not to pay out a claim. I had been with Pet Plan for 10years and due to their huge premium increase I decided to move to Sainsbury's. I has never claimed before, and this single year have had one incident with each cat (one accident and one illness). Unfairly neither has been paid with 'cat fights' being added an an exclusion! Please take noe of the 1.3 star rating and DO NOT GO NEAR THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!
Jason Tooth was exemplary My daughter had to call Allianz Assistance as per her contract and we wanted to highly commend your expert who came to her rescueHis name is Jason Tooth and he was extremely thorough & polite, professional, efficient and we can not thank him enough for his brilliant assistance and superb attitude. His work ethic was spot on and he obviously loves his job and he should be praised and recognised for his fabulous charismatic service He worked in the heavy rain and smiled throughout his diagnosis and repair. He went above and beyond and this is very rare nowadays. Jason is an absolute star and deserves recognition indeed. He went above and beyond and we want him to be made aware of our gratitude for his exemplary high standard of customer care please.Jason….. thank you very much 🏆 from a grateful parent in Oxford 🤓
Extended Warranty Insurance Issues:There have been ongoing issues with Soper BMW who appear to lack the knowledge and empathy towards customers. I have had warranty insurance since 2021 and the first time I have to use it, it has been nothing but trouble. 3 weeks on and over £3900(!!) in diagnostic fees, it has become tiresome and sorrowful with zero customer satisfaction. Our car has been religiously and particularly looked after with over-serviced oil changes (as who would ever let their car do more than 20,000mile between intervals) at a local independent BMW garage. I expected a premium service and customer engagement from these subsidiary companies Soper BMW, BMW Warranty Services and BMW UK who dont speak to each other. Caveat after caveat is what has been presented to me since having the car recovered. It has been a horrible and still is an awful ongoing experience. If it werent for the fact we have to use a BMW retail outfit to utilise the BMW warranty insurance, we would not have used Soper of Lincoln. There has also been no communication from BMW UK/Customer Services at this moment in time also

Save yourself money when buying tickets from ticketmaster I took out the insurance with these and they won’t payout, my daughter bought 2 tickets to Becky hill it stated you had to be 14+ she is 17 and got denied entry and Allianz won’t payout so don’t bother with the insurance there not gonna help you if anything happens
Spent 3 days trying to upload documents never works get put through to a call centre somewhere and everytime they cut off the line and give me conflicting information, clearly they are on commission NOT to pay out on claims, shocking service, I will never use this again and I have been clearly scammed.
