I have travel insurance through Nat West and you would assume they would only use a good insurance company. Today I made a claim because my flight was canceled for the accommodation and travel. i.e. to the airport and back, and guess what they don't cover my accommodation refund, a travel insurance that doesn't cover something with Travel, you couldn't make it up, best advice was ask the airline to pay for my accommodation. Nat West you need to get someone else for your customers.
I have insurance with them . Unfortunately, I experienced a significant theft valued at several thousand pounds. Despite diligently submitting all required documentation, including a police report and receipts, over the past two years, they have consistently failed to provide any compensation. Their repeated requests for redundant information and their unprofessional handling of my case have been exceptionally frustrating. Furthermore, they requested non-existent details from my bank records, demonstrating a lack of competence. After extensive efforts, their offer of a mere 300£ settlement is wholly inadequate given the value of the items stolen. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid this insurance provider.I urge everyone to steer clear of this company. Their lack of professionalism is beyond comprehension.
I had a cancelled Easyjet flight out of Cyprus to Liverpool airport on 27th June. Was delayed more than 24 hours and had hotel and taxi expenses associated with my delay until I managed to book another flight to Manchester next evening. It cost me in total £630 in expenses and thinking that Allianz through my Lloyds Bank account would cover it so no worries. When I submitted my claim on return they refused stating that they do not cover cancelled flight costs and expenses because I did not pass through security and the flight was cancelled due to air traffic control. I have had insurance with Lloyds bank for decades so now I shall be looking elswhere. DO NOT take out cover with these people and make sure if you get Insurance your are covered for ALL EVENTUALITIES. Beware of the small print.
I upgraded my Lloyds Bank account to a Platinum account to take advantage of their travel insurance, trusting that Lloyds Bank would only partner with reputable companies. Unfortunately, my experience with Allianz, the insurance provider, has been terrible. My phone was stolen abroad, and I submitted a claim on May 30, 2024. Since then, I have received no correspondence from Allianz. When I called to follow up, the agent assisting me seemed completely clueless, repeatedly asking what I had submitted while looking at my file. This happened multiple times with different agents, each promising to call me back with a definitive date for my claim resolution. One agent even mentioned they couldn't provide a timeline because it depended on the number of claims they had, saying it could take one, two, or even three months.Three weeks later, I finally received an email stating that they were looking into my claim and would get back to me. Frustrated with the lack of communication and professionalism, I have since downgraded my Platinum account with Lloyds Bank and filed a complaint with them. I chose this travel insurance based on Lloyds' recommendation, but it feels like Allianz is run in a completely disorganized, untimely and unprofessional manner.Avoid, avoid if you value your time, money and peace of mind.
One star ONLY as there is not a zero star option.Bought a missed event policy and advised it is free to cancel within 21 days. The policy states to cancel ring a # for cancellation. Did so to be advised to send an email. Did so (in duplicate).Read receipt received ex Allianz (Day20).No further contact by Allianz, no refund.Initiated credit card claim and Allianz now in touch asking whether the policy was cancelled via other means. My reply - cancelled as directed by policy cover note.Clearly Allianz trying to avoid honouring their policies as per published material. Misrepresentation. AVOID.
Due to my brother suffering a catastrophic bike accident we had no option but to change our plans for our upcoming holiday. Travel agent gave us the option to move it to a different date at no extra cost. However we wanted to double check we would be fully covered with Allianz if we cancelled holiday. We told on two separate occasions that we were covered including our 7 and 10 year old daughters. We were reassured and decided to go ahead with cancellation knowing Allianz would cover the loss. When we got our final claim through I was shocked to see that the children weren’t included in the cost- they then informed us that the children were NOT covered. Even though they said they were on two separate occasions. Due to their misinformation we have had a financial loss of over £400 on top of the devastation we are dealing with my brother being in a coma. I’ve complained and they won’t fully take responsibility for their mistake and instead have offered £100 as a good will gesture. My argument is- if we had been told the children weren’t covered, we wouldn’t have cancelled the holiday and instead moved the date. Due to them telling us something different meant they won’t pay out.Exhausted by it all. With everything else that’s going on, I will be spreading the news on social media and to the local paper when they interview us about my brothers accident. It’s like they have gone out of their way to make our life harder right now, when we could loose our brother. Be warned- if Allianz make a mistake, twice! And there’s recorded proof- you will suffer the financial loss.
BIGGEST FRAUD COMPANY EVER!I am have insurance with them through my N26 bank.My Gucci sunglasses was broken (250€)They are making their customers give up by keep demanding new information, they will never cover anything for you no matter how much documentation you send them. I have give up on my own case, they are draining your energy with all their unfair demands. They even asked me about things in my bank wich does not exist (and they know that) STAY AWAY! Worst insurance company on this planet!
