I had a bus booked on the 19th of February at 22h30, with the company ALSA. I was waiting in the lobby of the Bercy bus station, where I had a clear view on the tv screen that communicates the number of the stop where the bus would park. My bus was late and the tv screens said: “undefined time of arrival” . This message was there for 30 minutes more or less, when suddenly the bus dissapeared from the list, in the blink of an eye. As there was no employee present at the ALSA reception, I went to the one from BlablaBus, where the employee informed me the bus left without communicating its arrival !!!I had no other choice than booking a new bus with BlaBlaBus, as it was getting very late and I have a flight to catch tomorrow morning and therefor have to be at Bordeaux before 8h00. So I had to buy a 120 (!!!) euros ticket. Not only me, but 9 other people were stranded in the same situation. When a driver is missing 10 people, wouldn’t you assume they understand there is something not right?!?! Also the fact that there was no one present at the reception, shows lack of professionalism.Alsa now refuses to pay back the ticket because they claim travelers are responsible of finding the bus even if the gate is not shown ; in a station (Paris Bercy) with maybe over 30 busses !!!!I am currently recovering from a stress related illness, so not only did I suffer from financial damage, but also emotional.
My partner has a stress related disease so she only takes busses very rarely. She arrived at the station 2 hours in advance and sat in front of the information bulletin to check where the bus would arrive. It showed the bus was delayed for 02:30 hours after which it just disappeared from the board. The Alsa bus had passed the station, didn't communicate his gate and left with 10 people still in the station, confused. My GF was stranded in Paris with no one at the Alsa terminal to help. Alsa now also refuses to pay back the ticket because they claim travelers are responsible of finding the bus even if the gate is not shown!!! I have started a legal procedure to prevent other people of dealing with this in the future. It's like taking a plane and having no idea where you should board the plane...
1 star services can be super luxury when you compare with Alsa. Driver was extremely rude. Also, while I was showing my ticket he took my phone without asking permission and started to zoom in and he did this again even if I told him not to do and he laughed at me!! RUDE!!!!!! sooooooo RUDE!!!!! I have never been experience this before. Good job Alsa!!!!👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Worst bus service ever. I had the same problem twice that I booked a ticket with a bike. Every time I had very, very unfriendly staff who didn't want to take me with them. After an eternity of discussion I was allowed to have a discussion with aberrant, it's always the same with this company! it is a cheek and help from the pack staff is not to be expected. they always stand smoking on the edge.
I travelled on an ALSA bus twice (Santander - Bilbao, return journey) and could not have had a better experience. The buses were on time and the driver was polite (a top tip if you don't know what the expectations are regarding boarding and ticket checking is to just not be the first to board, so you can watch other passengers - for this journey, the QR code from the ticket PDF was scanned). For a low-cost journey that, for my route, was the fastest way to get around the region, I'd happily travel with ALSA again.
rude drivers. Ever time I am waiting half an hour for late bus. I witnessed the driver not stopping to collect passengers on an almost empty bus. RUDE! Information about routes and timetables is extremely lacking which may be typically Spanish, but is not acceptable in any company looking to make profits in this century. And customer service is non-existent. Alsa - you need to drastically up your game!
