My 76 year old mothers washing machine broke down, went online to Argos and found a machine by hoover which was almost identical, she has early dimentia, so didn't want to confuse her with different machine.I see Argos stated 3 days delivery and offered fit/remove/recycle old machine etc, so went with this option.Placed order but then Hoover contacted to arrange delivery date which was in 7days. Oh well its 4 days later than stated.Then a few days later Product Care emails to say arrange a date, I telephoned to say already set date with hoover, but they said Hoover delivery to them. And soonest is now next Monday. I am annoyed as now mum without washer for 10days from placing order.Monday comes and delivery truck arrives, guy comes in and starts remove old machine, goes to truck and says"they haven't loaded new machine onto truck, you will have to call Product Care"Call Product care, they blamed hoover, stating did not deliver to them, how the heck can Product Care send a fitter miles, knowing not loaded anyway, stupid people. They advise contact Argos.I have called Argos, got through to an call centre possibly in India, I had difficulty understanding the person due to accent etc, he did say will look into it, but i have heard nothing back, so after no joy using online bot, I have emailed Argos, but still silent. WHEN WILL YOU LOOK INTO IT, YOU HAVE TOOK OUR MONEY, WE HAVE NOTHING. WHATS TO LOOK INTO, JUST REARRANGE A DELIVERY.Ordered 15th November, its now 27th November, 12 days and Argos totally ignoring me.My poor mum, I feel as if I have totally let her down, I WOULD ADVISE NEVER USE IF YOU SEE 3 DAY SERVICE, TOTAL BUNCH OF USELESS COMPANIES, ALL 3 COMPANIES INVOLVED FROM ARGOS IGNORING ME, HOOVER NOT SENDING PRODUCT, HOMECARE NOT EVEN CHECKING ITEM ON TRUCK.How do these people operate is beyond belief.12 days now gone by now and no one seams to be doing a thing, since calling Argos not a phone call or email, so ignorant, they know its an elderly customer too.I SHOULD HAVE USED AO.COM GUYS, PREVIOUSLY HAVE HAD THINGS ARRIVE EVEN THE SAME DAY WITH AO, THATS MY ONLY MISTAKE HERE, TRUSTED ARGOS, THEY ARE NOT WHAT USED TO BE. ITS A HIGH COST ITEM AND DONT CARE ABOUT YOU, EVEN IF 76 YEAR OLD WITH DIMENTIA.SHAME ON YOU ARGOS, SHAME ON YOU.
I order large appliances for people and some choose appliances through Argos. 9/10 they do not deliver on the date agreed stating the person wasn’t in when we have ensured they are. I feel sure this is some sort of scam - promising to deliver on a certain date to convince you to order through their website thinking it will come earlier. The website never updates after a failed delivery so it will still show as due on the specified date even if 5 days have passed. When you ring customer services you just get told to wait until they can re deliver. I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t order items for large numbers of people so they get away with it. Shocking service, awful website and customer services outsourced that read from a script.
I would like to say thank you to Argos company and Angshuman one of the cs agents. Yodel driver decided to go home after he was late for delivering my daughter plush toy. We spend whole Saturday waiting on her Skye toy. Honestly item itself is not important but dealing with sad and frustrated 3 years old girl is hard. Nevertheless Angshuman solved my problem real quick. Smoothly solved it and send refund for delivery costs. Thank you so much
