All they care a bout is the money before taking your money they say it’s a learning journey with the right mentorship but as soon as they get there money they don’t respond to any of your questions and they start sending emails saying it’s a self-directed learning!!
I recently completed my CIPD Level 5 qualification with Avado, and overall, I had a good experience. The content was engaging, and the platform provided forums for collaboration among students, which was beneficial for learning. The momentum did seem to dwindle towards the end of the course though, but I suppose this is because engagement dipped and the main priority of everyone was to get the course done. I had a very positive experience with tutors Kirsty and Britt. They are very kind, knowledgeable, and were always willing to help. It's important to note, however, that the course is not really based on a 1:1 setting; there's one main session for each unit followed by a few check-ins if you choose to join. I think this is an important point to mention in case prospective students believe that there will be lots of classes.I gained valuable insights into HR practices, particularly within in a UK context. As an HR professional abroad now dealing with a UK team, this was lacking before, so units around employment law, trade unions, grievances, etc. was a great way to build up my knowledge. The learning hub proved to be a useful tool, although some students found it confusing. One challenge was the assessments, which were not always easy, particularly due to the low word count required by CIPD. This meant we had to cover a lot of material in assessments with limited space to write. This isn't necessarily Avado's fault, but it was certainly difficult at times.
CIPD Level 5 - My tutor made the experience, Mark Beacham was great! He was very knowledgeable and responsive. His teaching style was engaging and interactive. Moreover Mark showed genuine enthusiasm for helping everyone in my cohort succeed providing support, encouragement, and constructive feedback throughout our sessions.
CIPD Level 5 HR course should have started Easter 2024. I could not log in to the site from the off. Multiple complaints resulted in replies claiming IT sorted the problem, but they hadn't. 17th May 2024 I remain unable to access the course work online. Does anyone know where I can complain? An ombudsman or Ofsted etc. I am seriously behind in the course now. Stressed out, anxious, depressed - not how I expected this to go. Avado response to complaint doesn't include a contact email to sort this out. Avado, publish an email and I'll send you my details privately
The Avado CIPD Level 5 course was really well structured and had tonnes of helpful resources. Britt Webster was my course tutor, while I never spoke to her directly, she was super responsive to email. My schedule didn't really allow me to get to some of the interactive lectures, but the recordings of the tutor support sessions really helped me when it came to assignments and Britt gave really good advice on those recordings that really framed what was needed (as some of the criteria can be tricky). These recordings were invaluable for me, especially when something didn't make sense at 2am when there was a deadline!!Even through the recordings I feel I got to know Britt anyway (so thank you for being so clear!).I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wanting to boost their career in the people and culture space.
Worst experience of my life. The level 7 course is terrible. Despite paying £7,000 for the course, I experienced repeated instances of unresponsive communication and my perception is that they want you to give up instead of helping you succeed. After taking so long to book a meeting, the meeting scheduled were cancelled without notice. This lack of support, particularly after mentioning that I am pregnant and not feeling well is unacceptable and significantly impacted myself.
