make sure you request a refund on the day of the event

i purchased tickets to a museum and when i arrived the museum had unexpectedly closed early and i could not use my tickets. i tried to reach out to AXS from my cell phone but there is no phone number and the chat kept messing up. i was traveling, and did not have access to a computer until the following day. now, because the event has "passed" meaning my tickets were for yesterday and its now today, i cannot request a refund, even though the venue being closed is something completely out of my control.

The worst company - avoid if you can

The worst. Avoid at all costs. But if you’re reading this it’s probably too late. Tickets not as described, very restricted view, impossible to get a refund. Dead phone number, chat bot doesn’t work, no reply from customer service email. Horrible and essentially illegal business practise.

Terrible

Terrible! Sold my tickets and can't get the money back from them as the app won't accept my bank details for payment, when i input bank details i keep getting a firbidden message. Numerous unsuccessful attempts made to contact them but although I found a phone number they no longer take calls. No online chat only a bot telling me to add payment account for refund....IMPOSSIBLE, they clearly couldn't care less about their customers. I would give zero stars if it was an option....avoid at all costs

I wish I could give them 0 stars

I wish I could give them 0 stars, but that's not possible so I'll give them a 1. Horrible experience buying tickets. Kept getting identified as a bot & couldn't purchase tickets, meanwhile, resell tickets were on sale 5 mins after from actual bots. Make it make sense!!

Looks like this company doesn't care about its 1 star rating...was in waiting room, got my 5mins to book, couldn't click on choose seats pressed on ticket price range nothing worked. Then came up no tickets left ......then on different sites inflated prices within 15mins of tickets on sale, rubbish

Shockingly bad customer service

I nearly choked when I read these words on the York Barbican website, proudly announcing the new partnership with AXS in March 2024: "AXS has rapidly gained momentum as a preferred ticketing platform, known for its user-friendly interface, cutting-edge technology and unparalleled customer service." Unparalleled in its sheer awfulness, yes. I've been trying to ring their customer service helpline every day for the last week, but each time I do, all I hear is a recorded message saying the phone lines are closed, despite the AXS website stating that they're open from Mon ~ Fri, 9am ~ 5:30pm. I hate the way they force you to download their wretched app, just to be able to access the ticket(s) you've bought. What about older people who can't use or just don't want a smartphone? What are they supposed to do?? The whole AXS user experience represents everything that's wrong about modern technology supposedly "improving" our lives, when in fact all it does it make a relatively simple thing like buying a ticket needlessly complicated, time-consuming and frustrating. Whoever it was at York Barbican who decided it would be a good idea to pair up with AXS to handle all their ticketing should hang their head in shame - just look at all the terrible reviews they get here on TrustPilot!! Even a reasonably intelligent child could tell you that was a monumentally bad decision that was going to end badly for customers.....This is one seriously pissed off punter!

Spent two hours trying to buy early ticket then standard pre ticket bu blocked blocked blocked. No help no customer service. A rubbish company not good as a facilitator for other companies 😡

Tried to speak to someone about…

Tried to speak to someone about cancelling access tickets. You can't. Its great booking them but if you can't go you have no choices. You can not sell or transfer as there is a companion ticket. You can't speak to anyone and spend months trying to get nowhere...
