The sad part is they work for a corporation that could care less about customer relationships.I bought a new car battery on 1-21-21. It went bad on 3-26-21. I went in today to exchange it and was told since I didn’t keep the amperage at 10% my warranty is invalid.No alternator issuesNo electrical issuesSimply Corporate BSI will never step foot in their store again and I recommend no one else shop there.

Great Customer Service in Arlington, WA

We visited the Arlington, WA store on 3-27-21 and were assisted by Tina M. This was after calling the day before to determine the store had what we needed before driving the required 60 miles. Tina is the TOTAL professional and does it all!!! We purchased a battery for our 2012 Toyota Camry. Tina not only conducted the business transaction, but installed the battery while we waited. Just read reviews and buy elsewhere.

Well, this was my first/last time ever trying to purchase from this company and all because ONE guy I spoke with on the phone who SEEMED to care about helping me find a battery for my car never called me back. It would've been a $300 sale. I guess they do not want my business. It's truly a shame how we AMERICANS allow businesses to treat customers...it really is.

Misleading mower battery online purchase!

I ordered a lawn mower battery online for in store pickup. The price stated $51.99. Under the price it stated a $8 rebate for returning a dead battery. The assumption by the way the website is set up, is you buy the battery for $51.99, and get $8 off, if you bring back a dead battery. This was not the case. I was charged $59.99 and was given $8 off of that. Completely misleading! I called the store. No help. I called corporate. No help. Both agreed the website is misleading!? I will not buy another product from Batteries plus bulbs. Or maybe that’s Batteries + Bulbs?? Which name is the real name?

Cell phone not charging. Zach performed a complimentary cleaning/checkup and found the charging port dirty. Cleaned the port and returned the phone without charge. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Batteries + Bulbs really let me down

I have used Batteries + Bulbs as my sole outlet for batteries for as long as they have had the store in Pelham, AL. When my car with their 2 ½ year old battery wouldn’t start I returned to the store to have the battery tested. I was told that the battery checked out fine but that I should have my alternator and generator looked at. Thus I went to a local repair shop where I relayed the results of the Batteries + Bulbs testing and their advice about the alternator and generator. It turns out (after a series of expensive tests) that there was a bad cell in the battery and nothing wrong in the electrical system of the car. This should have been handled under warranty by Batteries + Bulbs rather than my having to spend extra time and money to get the correct diagnosis. The corporate response to my email about this issue was not helpful.

Great service

I needed a new I phone battery and they were able to change it out right there and only took 15 minutes. They were great! Would recommend Batteries Plus to anyone who need assistance. And the prices were very reasonable!

Incompetent and poor customer service

I live a half hour away from B&B in Marlborough and I purchased a new key fob for my car so that I could have 2 working keys. I ordered it. It came in. I gave them my existing key for reference and they programmed the new one for my car. All good except apparently they deprogrammed my existing key and caused not to work. I drove the car home with my new key but the next time I tried to drive it I used the old one and the car wouldn’t start. I didn’t realize that the old key could possibly be the problem. After all it has worked just fine for 10 years. I waited a while, started the car again and it worked so I took my car to the mechanic. I hadn’t noticed that I had used the other key this time. It was the end of the day so my mechanic gave me a loaner car to borrow while they figured out the problem. The next day they called and explained that the old key was no longer working so I went back and picked my car up. I called B&B to explain it to them and quite frankly to ask for some compensation for my time. In addition to the time I had already wasted I was going to have to go back to B&B, wait for them to fix the issue, and drive home. They were very defiant over the phone and told me they could not determine the cause of the issue until I brought the car in. When I asked what other possible explanation they had for the problem they had no response. Finally they told me that even if they determine that B&B is responsible for this mistake which caused me to waste a massive amount of my time they would not compensate me in any way, not even a 10% discount. I will not be using their services again.

I would give them a zero if I could

I would give them a zero if I could. I bought an expensive, higher rated, battery ($237.00 worth) for my car in December of 2020. Fast forward to February 2021 and the sub zero weather hit. My new battery was dead as it gets. I jumped the thing and ran errands for the next few hours never turning the vehicle off for fear of not starting again. The last errand was back to the 135th Metcalf store where I purchased it. They "tested" it and said it was fine and refused to replace under warranty. Less than 60 days old! My advice, buy at Costco. My Son did and 16 months after purchasing it would not start. They replaced it on the spot with a brand new battery, no question. I knew I should have gone there instead! What this franchisee needs to learn is good customer service pays big , recurring dividends and makes for a loyal customer, for life. Poor customer service means for each event, that customer is going to tell multiple people about their experience. Bad news travels faster than good resulting in lost future revenue and customers No, not every unhappy customer will take the time to write a review like this one, but they will take the time to share their experiences with your business, many times over with many people. This is called word of mouth. I know I will. Bottom line- Go anywhere but Batteries Plus
