They do not honor warranties

Purchased a new Duracell 30LA battery for my 2017 Harley Davidson Road Glide on 1/23/2024 from the Ft Myers FL store. On 10/15/2025 I returned it because it no longer had the cranking amps under load to properly start my bike. This particular battery carries a 2 YEAR FULL REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. I have purchased many of these same batteries in the past for my Harleys over the years and never had a problem until now. Chad, the guy at the counter load tested my fully charged battery and it tested at 13.1 volts and under load it tested at 313 cranking amps. This is a 400 cca rated battery. That's 87 cranking amps short of rated capacity. At that point Chad refused to honor the replacement warranty further stating that loss in capacity needed to be greater than 20%. I'm not really sure where Chad got his math education but 20% loss is still 320 amps and mine tested 313 amps. That's not enough to start a Harley Big Twin so essentially I now I have a $219 completely worthless battery that is ironically still under warranty. Apparently you don't get what you pay for at Batteries Plus anymore.

On October 8

On October 8, 2025, I visited Batteries Plus in Longmont to have my keyless remote programmed and to obtain an extra key for my 2021 Jeep Compass. Before starting the service, the employee assisting me informed me that I would need to sign a form stating that if the programming did not work, I would still be responsible for a $90 service fee. He asked me to sign the form and make the payment before beginning the workSince I did not have my glasses with me, he filled out the paperwork on my behalf. After about 12 minutes, he told me that it was difficult to program and that he could not get it to work. It appeared that he did not even attempt to program the key properly, and he refused to refund my money.I believe I was scammed by this store. I feel very strongly that this was an unfair and possibly predatory practice, especially targeting elderly customers. I plan to report this incident to the Consumer Protection Agency, as this seems to be another

Voided battery warranty

TLDR: they voided my battery warranty on my $400 agm x2 car battery: I bought this battery because of the 4 year warranty, and solid reviews. So once it went bad, put a charger on the battery first (without the truck connected) before I lugged the 50lb thing up to the store. The charger showed the battery fully charged after about 7 hours. The next day in the afternoon I hooked the charger back up to see if it still had a charge. The battery was dead. So when I took it up to the store, they told me that my warranty is void because the battery was under 10volts. Well YEAH! It’s not taking a charge! The employees could not explain anything and just kept saying they won’t warranty it. Now I’m reading that batteries plus thinks i mistreated the battery in some way to cause this? WTF? I’ll never shop there again and they don’t care but my off-road community does does so I can hurt their profits that way.

Read the detailed Warranty. Not Honoring.

I purchased a Group 48 Duracell Ultra AGM battery from the Batteries Plus location in Williamsburg, VA in September 2023 and had it installed on-site. On Saturday, July 26, 2025, my vehicle failed to restart after going into auto start-stop mode. After a jump, I returned here and staff tested the battery, stating it simply needed a charge. However, a diagnostic at the Honda dealership showed the battery was only producing 450 of its rated 760 CCA. When I returned with the dealership’s report on July 31, the battery again tested low (11.9V), but staff declined a warranty replacement. I ultimately purchased a new battery elsewhere. Unfortunately, this location did not honor the 48-month warranty as expected. I recommend asking detailed questions about the warranty criteria before purchasing.

THEIR WARRANTIES ARE A COMPLETE SCAM

THEIR WARRANTIES ARE A COMPLETE SCAM. I purchased a top of the line Duracell that they lied about having a 36-month warranty. When it went dead and would not take a charge, they would not warranty it because "it is dead and will not take a charge." Silly me, I thought that was what the warranty was for. It I had bought the same battery at Costco, Walmart or anywhere else, it would not have been a problem.Batteries Plus is a business with ZERO integrity.

Bought a battery 2 months ago

Bought a battery 2 months ago, the guy at the store said he filled and charged it.Put it on my bike did well for approximately 2 months.Went out to start bike it was dead.Put it on a charger and after 8 hours it would not take a charge.Took it to an autoparts store, they tested it and IMMEDIATELY SAID IT WAS A BAD BATTERY.Went back to Battery plus and the person running the counter was rude to me and the other customer in the store. He tested the battery and said it was very low on voltage.Of course it is thats why I brought it in.He did not have a replacement but said I could buy a different battery for $189.Why, my battery is under warranty Then he wanted me to leave my battery for up to 48 hour????I cannot go that long without my vehicle just for a bad battery. He told me two other stores that had the battery so I went to one.The guy was also rude and smelled like he had just finished smoking pot.He wanted to keep my battery for 24 hours and then said hewould not warranty my battery because it was low on voltage. Both stores admitted battery was not putting out the designated voltage. This is only a 2 month old battery and no damage or neglect caused by me.He wa

Do not trust them with your watch.

Do not trust them with your watches. I had a good experience at the Fort Collins, CO location and bought a lifetime battery replacement plan for my Stührling Depthmaster. When I took the watch to the Ankney location to have the battery replacement done, the technician struggled visibly before taking the watch to the back room. The process took considerably longer than I anticipated from previous experience and I was behind schedule, so I departed without setting the watch. When I went to set the time about 20 minutes later, I realized that the full mechanism was loose in the housing and shifted around when the adjustment dial was loosened. Also, the back of the watch remained loose. I wore the watch through the evening for an event (Saturday). On the following Monday, I called to notify Batteries Plus of the issue. The manager verbally declined to accept liability or acknowledge that there was an issue. I then took the watch to a local (to me) jeweler in Ames, who said that the technician in the previous repair failed to put a plastic bracket back in the watch, which allowed the mechanism to move around in the housing. I called Batteries Plus back and notified them of the assessment, asking them to return the plastic piece. On this call, I am confident that I spoke to the technician who did the original repair (the tech's speech pattern has a distinct [r] to [w] consonant shift that I recognized over the phone). The tech was unable to account for the part that was not put back in my watch, however there was one piece that *might* be correct—though he said it was likely too old. (This implicit knowledge of the age of my watch further confirmed I was talking to the same employee.) The tech claimed to have made no error, then transferred my call to the manager, with whom I had spoken in my first call (which, full disclosure, had ended with me thanking them for at least being an honest asshat). In this second conversation, the manager maintained highly litigious language and declined reasonable requests, including my request that he email a picture of the unrecognized extra part the *might have* come from my watch, or even setting it aside to make sure nothing happened to it before I could take a look. After a total of 12 minutes of outright denials of liability and declining accommodations that could save me driving 35 minutes each way to check on the mystery part, the manager hung up on me. When I attempted to call back, my call went unanswered and there was no option to leave a voicemail. They have probably thrown the part away by now, so I will not be making the drive down.Overall, the technician was friendly but sloppy, the manager was unaccommodating and quietly disdainful, and I had a moment of weakness in calling them names the first time. So, you win, Batteries Plus. Enjoy throwing away a worthless 30 cent piece of plastic and I will seethe with quiet resentment watching the mechanism shake around in my $160 watch.

I purchased a 36-month AGM battery for…

I purchased a 36-month AGM battery for my Yamaha WaveRunner from Batteries Plus in North Forsyth (Cumm*ing), GA. After just 20 months, the battery would no longer hold a charge—despite being properly maintained on a NOCO Genius trickle charger. I was surprised and disappointed when the store denied a warranty replacement, citing technical language that felt more like an excuse than a legitimate reason. Given the higher price point of their products, I expected better support. I recommend exercising caution when purchasing here, especially if you value a warranty that is honored without hassle.

Battery doesn’t hold charge

They were kind and helpful, but unfortunately, I did not realize it was not an Apple brand I phone battery. I replaced my 12 mini battery bc it was showing decreased battery life and only lasted 12 hours. Now this “new”battery only lasts 6 hours when not in use. And of course my phone won’t recognize it to tell me battery health. Def not 100%. All background updates off, Siri off, low brightness, etc. Big mistake. 6 month warranty useless since doesn’t work already, and now to trade in for a new phone, I have a knock off battery.
