Uncontactable.After a fair bit of research I landed on Bavarian Automotive's website for a number of MMI boxes I wanted to purchase with total value at over £1000.The website was well presented and I felt assured I'd receive good service and support.I submitted a pre-sales enquiry through the site and got no response. I then phoned the number and left a total of 3 voice messages over 3 days, and now, 2 weeks later I've still not received a call back.On the basis that I couldn't get an answer to a simple pre-sales question, I'm doubtful there will be any post purchase support, so I went elsewhere.A shame really, all that effort to create a good looking website but they cannot back it up by returning calls or replying to messages.EDIT: In response to the reply received below from Bavarian Automotive, there was no automated message about phone lines being down across the 3 days I left messages (Last voice message left 29th May 2024 - Its now 13th June).Unfortunately too late to send another a direct message now as I've sourced another supplier and already started receiving the products.
14th of April 2023 I ordered Android 12 Display for my BMW 120. They did instantly withdrawn money from my account, but they where missing a the bracket for the unit, so they could not finish the order. That went on for a few months until we finally agreed, that they would send the order without the bracket and the bracket at a later time. This was 20th june 2023. In September 2023 I still had no bracket. Bavarian told me, that it was sent by Royal Mail, and they would create a support case with the postal service, and they would also send me another bracket, since I been waiting so long. Here a year later, I still have no bracket. Once I was able to get through on phone after many attempts, and he yet again promised me to send the bracket. Now I have just given up, and my car looks absolutely silly, when looking through windshield!The unit is okay, but I cannot recommend using Bavarian!
I can recommend Reece to anyone considering updating their navigation system, he travelled all the way from Hull to Birmingham, the new screen he fitted was first class and fitting of a reversing camera with not a thing out of place afterwards, all done with good humour and patience a totally great experience
Excellent MMI Retrofit box, Amazon firestick, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto all works. Easy connections. Helpful staff via WhatsApp. Delivery was a bit slow. Help via email needs improvement. No installation instructions, that needs adding. Make sure to get an HDMI extension lead for easy access for firestick use. The MMI box may need an update once fitted but only if the HD option is not showing up on the MMI menu, this HD option enables the firestick to work. So far so good
Ordered Carplay for my BMW X3 G01. It had the NBT Evo Headunit. So needed to be coded. This place was the cheapest by far and honestly thought it was too good to be true. But everything worked seamlessly. Once the wireless antenna arrived, I installed that to the headunit and updated it using the ENET cable.The instructions were missing a step (Press Start) after pressing find car. Sounds obvious afterwards, but I was waiting for the progress bar to move haha.Maybe a youtube link to install the wireless antenna would be good, but that depends on the model etc etc, so youtube is your friend here.Overall, great product and painless
