We booked a table for a Saturday late lunch, we were greater with a friendly smile from a nice young lady who seated us, rather cramped but okay.Upon browsing the menus and deciding on a pasta dish, the price caught my eye, the pricing was faint against the wording of the dishes.But when I saw Ā£17.80 for a plate of pasta, I said to the wife āIām not being ripped off for a plate of Ā£7 pasta. Browsing over the rest of the menu I realised that all the dishes are a total rip off, I donāt mind paying good money for good food, but this is a fast food chain, and should be priced as such and not priced as some sort of high quality Italian gourmet restaurant.We stood up and walked out, and never will we return.Lancaster branch.
Been twice now to the Bella Italia in purley way. Awful service, takes over 30 mins for food to come out and both times we was missing 2 main meals leaving my partners food to go cold, then when I ask kindly whereās the meals I get told a couple of mins which I can assure you it is not. Not to mention they have crammed in too many tables at this new one so everyoneās chairs are practically touching and the waiters/waitresses barge past your chairs to get through. they seem to be all over the place. I also ordered a pasta meal, which came out with practically nothing in the bowl and over heard quite a few people saying the same? Seems like they are using sparingly Overall do not recommend. However, Crawley branch cannot fault, food out within 10 mins, lovely service!
Unfortunately we didnāt have a very good experience at Bella Italia Purley Way. Multiple of the staff members were very rude. On numerous occasions we heard the chef shouting at the waiting staff which I found to be rude and unprofessional especially in hearing distance of customers. We overheard the chef saying there was no carbonara left, however no staff member communicated this to us, so we had to request a menu to change what we had ordered. We also asked for no mushrooms in one of our dishes. The pasta then turned up with mushrooms still inside the dish. The waitress went to tell the chef he had made it with mushrooms, however there was no resolution and no offer to remake the dish, so my friend had to eat her food despite clearly stating she wanted the mushrooms removed. When trying to explain this all to the manager, there didnāt seem to be much concern and no apology was given. There was one waiter/host, who unfortunately we did not get his name, who was extremely helpful and sweet. He was quick to seat us and recommend things from the menu and tried to ensure we had a good experience despite the chaos. It was a shame to hear multiple members of staff be rude to him, when he seemed to be the only one who knew what he was doing! Overall not too pleased with our experience.
Absolutely disgusted with this company Sent me an offer and have been openly publicising their bottomless drinks offer over the Xmas period, clearly stating in their own T & Cs that it's available at my chosen restaurant on NYE only to find out when you book it they are now saying it's not available What a scam and what a way to treat their customers it's disgusting
Bella Italian BriggateOrdered a spaghetti bolognese at 7.15pm. Rang the restaurant at 9.20pm politely asking for an update. I understand it is just eats responsibility to assign the driver but do not appreciate the manager sniggering down the phone to me telling me itās not his problem and my foods sat waiting āfor meā.
