Review Time
This review is a follow up to our stay in 2021 where we were offered a free stay in a refurbished room and that has not happened! We had a terrible stay at the Folkestone Hotel in 2021. Bed rock hard, managed 4 hours sleep, room too hot, we were above the restaurant and couldn't open the sash windows which were in poor condition, there were stains on carpet stains on light switches and plugs. Overall not very nice and not very clean but it was the last available room... we had no choice but to stay there. We complained straight away about the poor standard of the £136per night "Executive" room and issued photos of a very tired and not very clean room. We received a response offering us a free return visit as the hotel was due to undergo refurbishment. We accepted the offer however we are still waiting......they are now saying it will be Easter 2023 before we can revisit that's around 18 months!This is not acceptable so we emailed Neil the Leaf Hotel Group Manager 2 weeks ago and he has not responded..... another sent today :(
