I don't understand the reviews saying…

I don't understand the reviews saying the dresses are poor quality and the mirrors were falling off. I put my mirrored dress through hell for 3 years now during photoshoots and never has one even fell off! So excited to make a big purchase soon for my EDC outfit!

EXTREMELY disappointed in this company……

EXTREMELY disappointed in this company… my order from august was not advised it was a back order… i sent numerous emails with very slow if at all response.. offered solutions but never followed up.. i cancelled the order as offered and refund BUT the item had arrived regardless and i now no longer need it as was for a specific event .. really shocking customer service ..

Empty promises - poor customer service

Ordered two items/outfits. One arrived immediately, the second one never arrived. Wrote several emails, was promised it will still arrive on time - all empty promises. Now standing here at my sisters bachelorette without an outfit. At least her outfit arrived.

I recently bought an item from the Born…

I recently bought an item from the Born in Stockholm website direct expecting a luxury item for the price. The sequins have been stuck on with glue and were bent and even just taking it out of the bag a few came off. There is no branding on the item and looks really cheap. I can return it but because I’m in the UK I only get a credit voucher. This is not ideal as if I want to order anything else ( which I don’t) I have to pay a custom charge of £68 to get it delivered. I am so disappointed as this was for a hen do and now have nothing to wear. I am over £200 down and very disappointed.

I recently purchased a dress from Born…

I recently purchased a dress from Born in Stockholm. While the dress is generally okay and the fit is decent, I was disappointed to find that it has far fewer sequins than what was shown in the photos on the website. The shipment was fairly quick, which I appreciated, but given the quality and the discrepancy between the product and the photos, I don't think it's worth the price. Overall, it's an average purchase, but I expected more for what I paid.

Never again, horrible quality

Horrible quality! I ordered a dress to go to the eras tour. I wore the dress 1 evening. So many sequins had fallen off, thé dress stained my skin (neck) and my new merch hoodie. I reached out tot the customer service. They offered to give me more sequins. So no options. I told them i wanted my money back. The dress is bad quality and i can never wear it again since it stains things. After this they didn't reply.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, especially if you are not in the EU. Non EU customers are charged a fortune at customs for terrible quality garments and are not allowed a full refund, store credit only however EU customers are. I rejected the parcel and the customs charge which was £80! I emailed about this and was told I could receive a refund but was then given store credit. I challenged this and they denied all knowledge and then they just stopped replying. Luckily I had paid through PayPal and opened a dispute and they refunded the money back. DO NOT BUY

Terrible quality and terrible customer service

The quality of the dress I bought (the Metallic party dress) was more akin to buying something from AliExpress or Shein. The sequins were glued on, and within an hour of putting the dress on, before I even left the house, the sequins were rubbing off. I have no idea how this company purports to make clothing for raves and dancing, when you would be sweating, dancing, and brushing up against people, when the outfits start falling apart the minute you put them on without any vigorous movement. You would think for £180!!! (plus more for customs charges outside of the EU) that the sequins would be sewn on. The sequins that did stay glued on started losing their colour, so everything else I was wearing is now covered in pink, and the remaining sequins on the dress are half silver. I reached out to customer service who just replied with “the dresses are delicate as stated on the website” and offered to send some more sequins, I assume for me to pluck off each remaining sequin and hand glue back on myself? If I wanted to create my own DIY outfit I could have done the same thing for a lot cheaper in the first place. I regret not just buying one of the many cheaper knock off alternatives - I expect they are the exact same quality. This is still not yet resolved and customer service will also go days without responding to me. Overall I have found Born in Stockholm very rude and hard to deal with. I will add that I was unaware of the additional customs charges that would be levied outside of the EU (my fault I guess) but when I queried with Born in Stockholm as I wasn’t expecting an additional £60 charge on top of my already very expensive dress they repeatedly (and rudely) told me it was my governments fault. I’m not from Europe or the UK at all, and have just recently moved here so I haven’t followed Brexit or any of the consequences, so no idea why they think that this is somehow mine or my governments fault - in any case, they were going to charge me an outrageous over £60 fee if I did not pay the customs fee of over £60 and caused the item to be returned, so I figured I would just pay it and enjoy one of the most expensive dresses I’ve ever bought. However it was then terrible quality after all that. Cannot in good conscience recommend this company.

Poor quality and poor service

I ordered an outfit (the Juliana sequin bodysuit) from there for my friend as a gift to wear to a festival. She had been watching it online and wanting it for so long! The bodysuit cost more than $200 even after the discount and for that price I would expect quality. What we received was so disappointing. The worst part was the skirt portion has this thick elastic band at the top that the sequins are attached to that is not shown in any of the pictures. After some investigation and contact with the company, I figured out that for the photos they’ve put the skirt inside out to hide this elastic. In real life wearing the skirt inside out looks silly as it doesn’t have any sequins attached on the inside (which you can see if you look closely at the photos on the website). It just has this mesh that should obviously be hidden. So I contacted the company and told them I would like a refund because the item is not as described on the website, and they responded and said to return it. Then AFTER I posted the item back to Stockholm at my own expense (from Australia) they told me they would only give me a store credit. Of course I don’t want any more of their overpriced merchandise. Really, just don’t bother.
