The item I received was accurate to the picture (hence the 2 stars) but the quality was awful. It felt like a bad Temu item (some Temu items I love), DH gate or Ali express. They definitely bought this from China for $6 and marked it up to $93. The tag that said “L”for large was sewn on shredded, backwards and uneven like a cheap $1.99 special. The Glitter sheds like crazy. I’m just grateful I only ordered one item. I’ll wear it once as a beach coverup and put it on poshmark for $15.
Do not buy from this company - they have zero customer service - they say you have to contact them for returns/ exchanges, but they dont reply, they dont answer their online chat. Then you will get undisclosed import duties further raising the price significantly. All of their stuff is from AliBaba super cheap you can find on other websites for 75% less. At their high end luxury prices I was expecting exceptional pieces - and responsive customer service, both of which are non existent and products are misrepresented.
I paid £170 for this outfit as well as £53 for customs fees as in the UK. It’s for my 40th party and so I wanted something really special. The material is cheap rubbish and the mirrors have just been hot glued on and are really sparse. No sewing and the print on it looks so poor. For such an expensive garment, I’d expect much more. Given that I’m in the UK, I’d only be eligible to have store credit or an exchange. I’d lose the £50 I paid for customs as well. Very disappointing to say the least. I won’t be buying again.
DO NOT Purchase from them if you live in the US. I purchased 3 items and received 2 of the 3 and had to pay an extra $31 customs tax I was unaware of. The 3rd item was not in my package and they apparently shipped it separately so I got a notification saying I owe another $21 for an item that I paid only $16 for. They will not respond to emails or messages. I want my refund for the 3rd item immediately as it will be returned to them via customs after 5 days. Terrible customer service and their lack of transparency of additional customs fees should be illegal. It says if you read through terms the purchaser is responsible however it would be helpful to provide what those costs would be. Nonetheless respond to emails.
I ordered a dress with the expectation it would arrive within 3-7 days as outlined on the site. However, after 10 days and no communication despite mails and messages sent via chatbot,(there is no phone number to call). I was finally told the item was on back order so as soon as it was ready it would be sent express delivery. The item was eventually sent more than 2 weeks after the order was first made. I then received a call from customs telling me if I wanted to claim the dress I owed £70. The dress cost £199. I chose not to accept dress given it was so late and all the issues encountered so it was returned as unclaimed. A refund was issued minus the customs costs. So all in all I am left out of pocket and still minus a dress. All I would advise if you choose to purchase from this shop then make sure to be prepared that you will not be told the item is on back order. Communication is ad hoc and significant customs fees will be charged in addition if ordering to the UK.
Just wrong in every way!! My order was a month late - so missed the event I purchased my playsuit for, plus it did not fit me properly, plus it was of poor quality, plus I was hit with import taxes TWICE (approx. £120) as they shipped my order in two parts without my approval (l also bought a fur coat, which I had decided to keep, although the quality is not great). No clear mention on website of only offering exchanges or gift vouchers to UK customers, so after I returned my playsuit, I was not refunded. Sent a gift voucher instead, which I am unable to use as their stock is so limited -I don't want to order swimwear or a festival outfit, which does not leave much else to chose from their website. I placed my initial order in early June and in September it's still unresolved. So so upset with their customer care and I'm out of pocket of nearly £300!! I feel a real injustice has taken place and they do not even care.
Ordered to ship to UK. Did not expect to get stung by DHL for an additional £224 customs charges that were not mentioned when ordering (and I will not be paying). I have tried to contact Born in Stockholm several times times to arrange return to sender, with no response on chat or to emails. For the cost of the bodysuits and dresses I would have expected excellent customer services, or at least some service, not total radio silence! I would not recommend ordering from here unless you are confident you will not need any interaction with this company after purchase or are willing to pay excessive customs charges!!
