Very High Price for NON premium customer service

I am not given to writing negative reviews. For Bose, I make an exception. Regrettably, Bose has become yet another "Premium name" company that believes it can charge very high prices for its products without the bother of offering sensible warranty periods, whilst at the same time, hiding behind "computer says no" customer service tactics.In my case, my dissatisfaction takes the form of a pair of Quiet Comfort ear buds. I bought these for my wife as a surprise birthday present. She tried them a few times over a couple of days, maybe 15 minutes of use in total, before quietly putting them back in their box and into the back of a cupboard. (Note to self: ALWAYS check with wife that surprise gift is on the list of acceptable surprises!)Some time later, I needed a pair of ear buds myself and so retrieved them from exile. Magically, whilst sitting in their box doing absolutely nothing, they had developed a hardware fault. The warranty period had expired. The Bose solution? We don't fix things. We don't offer spare parts. You must buy a replacement set at a NOT very special, discounted price. I tried for several months via various channels to get somebody at Bose (anyone?) to acknowledge my issue and treat me as a human being. I think you can guess the result.I am the now the owner of a very expensive, small black shiny box complete with flashing LED lights that serves only to remind me NEVER to buy a Bose product again.Wake up Bose - you are guilty of believing in your own marketing hype.(Edit: ironically, now my review has been published, it follows immediately after a review from somebody with similar problem to mine but with a very different outcome. Hence, I would like to add inconsistent customer service and arbitrary decision making processes to the list of woes).

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, repair times ridiculous and staff incompetent. Contacted Bose in december 2023 to get cost for repair to soundtouch system was quoted a fixed cost of £155 which i agreed too. Everything going ok so far Speaker was then collected by UPS and went on its merry way then i wait for nearly six weeks for it to come back to me, in the mean time call and request updates get told will get call back but never happened. Eventually Speaker came back to me damaged during repair so contact BOSE and after multiple calls and whats app messages finally get agreement to have it repaired free of charge. Speaker collected and you guessed it 6 weeks later it comes back to me. So far no speaker for over 3 months nearly. Open box to find the rubber feet it sits on missing. So yet again contact BOSE and despite telling them numerous times that there are four feet on the bottom of the speaker yup you guessed it i get sent one foot. This took over a week to arrive via UPS so contacted again today and had to wait on hold for around 20 mins to be told very sorry we will send you the three other feet again via UPS. So as normal i now receive the ushal how we did message and as always i put 1 and would not recommend you to anyone i know. Bose sell great speakers headsets but god if they ever break just give up and run away. Bose you need to seriously look at staff training and management processes as they are not working currently. Would i buy another product ? No lead times excessive support non existant.

Order elsewhere if you need within 1 week

This is a review of the shopping and delivery experience from the Bose UK site.Delivery estimates and times suck. If you need what you're orfering within a week I would recommend buying elsewhere.I ordered on a Friday and the delivery ETA was Monday. Then I tracked order Tuesday morning the new ETA was Thurday. Due to "unprecedented demand". Lame. Delivery within M25 and a week for that is poor. I would have purchased elsewhere if it was clear when ordering that delivery ETA was the reality if 1 week.

Not a review of the products but direct ordering from website

Not a review of the products but rather the customer experience of ordering directly from their website.The initial ETA on ordering was given as the Tuesday following the Friday I ordered it on. No update was given until I chased them when they told me there was 'unprecedented demand' (yeah I've heard that one before) and that my order would be shipped soon. This I didn't really mind at the time, but it would have been nice to have realistic ETAs communicated up front. No order tracking information was available for several days and then delivery was due today. After forcing me to use their address picker on their website which put my house number after my street name which is not the norm in the UK, they dropped it entirely for shipping.Don't worry, they said when I pointed this out to them, we will update it with UPS and your parcel will still arrive. Spoiler.... it didn't. I've had to contact UPS directly and fingers crossed it turns up now but I would say if you can order from a 3rd party, of which there are many offering free next day delivery, do so.

I see a lot of bad reviews 😕 😬 👀 😐 My headphone stopped working, so I contacted them. They were very helpful and exchanged my headphone under 7 days.Definitely recommend.

Rubbish product and the most disgusting customer service

I have the smart speaker 500 and it’s rubbish!! Had the same problem for the second time. A white line flashing across the scree. Which according to Bose is an updating issue. I tried several times to update with my laptop and on the speaker it’s self after watching YouTube videos but obviously it dint work both the times. After the first repair I had problem with delivery back as Bose never sent my product to the old address even though I told them I don’t live there anymore. But neway I thought it was sorted but no!!! I had the same problem again so obviously the problem is faulty as I’m unable to update it by myself but they don’t get the point. So as they advised I sent the product back for repair the second time on 21st December 2023 and the product was repaired and posted back to me on 1st February 2024. I was meant to receive it on 6 February 2024 but again BOSE and UPS messed with my address and this time they delivered to a completely wrong location. I contacted BOSE and UPS to find out what’s happening with my parcel and who signed for it as showed it’s been delivered. But both Bose and UPS said it’s been delivered to me at my address and when I asked for proof they only say they can confirm it’s been delivered To me but they don’t really show the actual proof. So I opened investigations with Bose and UPS and the results says the product is delivered to me so case closed and they can’t help further. How frustrating is that as I sent them proof of tracking which clearly shows the product has been delivered to a location half an hour from my home address. And even after that they say it’s delivered to me. And I was still in the process of fighting with customer service every alternate day as it’s their fault for misplacing my product and on 4 March I suddenly received a new tracking number from UPS saying parcel will be delivered and even that was quite difficult as BOSE said they say their records show product was delivered so even tho there is a new tracking number they will not give me the product. After hearing this anyone will loose their mind. And at the end the speaker got delivered to me on 14 March. So this whole process took 3 good months right from what it was sent for repair. Also a question to Bose! If you guys said my product has been delivered, how did I receive it 1 month later? What kind of investigation do you lot even do? Or I guess you’ll don’t even do any investigation and you’ll just lie with the investigation word just to satisfy the customer that you’ll are looking into the case. All are liars and cheaters. I Do Not Recommend Bose and Their Products To Anyone. As you’ll will suffer the same way I did.

Fantastic customer service and the…

Fantastic customer service and the products are amazing.Only downside is their use of UPS. You purchase a product on wednesday and it's handed over to UPS in Brussels and stays in Europe all weekend.And I've had a delay with my delivery. Please go with DPD or DHL!!!!

Horrendous

The most horrific customer service I’ve ever had.Disgusting. Can’t arrange a refund almost 2 months after purchasing a product that never arrived.Can’t comment on the quality of products because I never got them!Absolute farce.

Well what can I say about Bose…

Well what can I say about Bose subwoofer 500 I'm getting a constant popping from this unit, No matter where I move it ( And I have a large living room) it does not solve the issue! According to Bose it's Wi-Fi Interference I've tried everything to solve this issue, reseting it.. all sorts! apart from throwing it out!!! It's Over rated and poorly shielded, A complete waste of almost £500!! Awful piece of kit, Avoid at all costs there are better subs out there than this rubbish

Honestly dont understand the bad reviews here. Bose sound signature is next level. The customer support is super, i cant fault this company. Had many bose over the years, no other brand has sounded as good, so will continue to be a loyal customer
