Estimate given was £49 if straight forward. Took 20/25mins, no new parts. Bill £202. Booked through Book a Local Locksmith ( which has high Trustpilot rating). Locksmith worked forBSSecurity MaintenanceLtd.He arrived promptly but the above tells the story. I would not recommend this company.
We called this company out on a Sunday as we couldn’t open our front door he turned up in a car which should of rang bells but we were desperate to be able to get out of our house. After an hour or so he had drilled out the lock on our door and said we needed a new mechanism and gear unit for the door he didn’t have the part which we have since learned is a part usually carried in the van. He left us without being able to lock the door and said he would get the part for the next day and charged us £642.00 for the privilege. After a sleepless night he called later the next day and said he could get the gear box and it would cost £350.00 and we would have to go another night without locking the door. We decided to try another locksmith and he came out within twenty minutes and fixed the door the part costing £59.00 this company overcharged us massively and have terrible customer service do not use !!!
RIP OFF SCAM COMPANY DO NOT USEMy elderly dad was locked out,his key would not turn in front door.He called what he thought was a local locksmith, he had to wait 3 hours outside in the cold( they are not local to canvey)It was a Sunday but during the day, the locksmith drilled out the lock and replaced with new lock and keys.For this they charged my elderly, cold, distraught dad a disgraceful £1229 !!!Unfortunately he paid without argument This is not a fair or reasonable price and clearly took advantage of a distraught 84 year old man Totally disgusting
NO STARS! Trustpilot can you please provide an option for no stars or some other method that signals an outfit that is not merely subpar, but actually extortionist bordering on criminal as these BS (BullS**t) people are. It's beyond outrageous, they need to be stopped. If anyone on this thread knows a where BS can be reported with effective ouput, please share. There is the Trading Standards Board, not sure how effective they are.
Uded this company on 2/12/25 to change my locks. Was told its £45. But they charged me £132 to change the lock. They told me its a high security lock. A month later the lock does not. The keys just keeps turning in the key hole but the door isnt opening. God forbid there's no one at home I'd be locked out. Do NOT use the company!
DONT NOT USE!!!! we called this company as our UVPC door had jammed shut, they told us £45 call out plus parts. The locksmith drilled the door when he didn’t need to and then told us he can’t actually replace the lock because he didn’t have the parts, I’ve never heard of an emergency locksmith who doesn’t carry parts????? We stupidly paid £900 and was told he would come back Monday to fit the lock. After he left we quickly realised we’d been scammed and called to cancel the work and ask for a refund. We were told it would be discussed on Monday when he was supposed to return to replace the lock. We called again only to be shouted at and refused a refund. We’ve complained to trading standards and our bank. Our bank actually told us the company is flagged for fraudulent activity. I managed to get £600 back by calling and emailing negotiations for about a week and threatening further action. If you’re in the same position as I was, do not let them come back and complete any work. Contact your bank and claim incomplete work and misrepresentation and also report to trading standards, and email them to let them know you’ve reported them. This worked for me. Please please please do not use this company!!!!!!
This is a scam company - they use local addresses of vacant shops to suggest the are local. I was able to recover the cost back on the credit card as they left us with a door that wouldn’t unlock without a struggle and they claimed it was fine.
