Calphalon recalled the contemporary knife set where the handled breaks. They told me to mail them back and they would mail me new ones. After I mailed them back they said they don't me they don't have any knife sets to send me and said they are on back-order. However, they are selling similar knife sets on their website. Now I have no knives to cook with. I told customer service to refund me or send me back my old ones and they are no longer responding to me. I paid 400 for those of knives so to me this is theft.
So, after 20 years of owning Calphon full sets plus, and using their warranty over the years with no issues, they have devolved into a company that can't shoot straight. My wok, the most well used of all, has failed and is flaking off toxic particles, sticking, and useless. In the past, I have called them, they provide a ret\urn umber, I return it and they send me a new one. After 3 months of continued email (they no longer accept calls, CoVid precautions (?)) they keep promising "a response soon, they are overwhelmed with emails". Nothing. Crickets. Until the letter below arrived. I will not even list the thing they wanted me to show them. I completed the list, sent photos......nothing. If you notice, the letter has no email, no phone, nothing but a "case Number which seems to trigger nothing from them. Hire some damned people to answer phones from home and field returns and service your customer base. I'm shopping for a whole new line of cookware. Any suggestions out there????
I bought from this company on their website a Calphlalon signature stainless steel cookware set, very nice their commercials but horrible the set after using it, stained and everything sticks, when you write they take the time of the world to respond, sign of that customers are not interested in, if you are reading this and it helps you not to buy it, you will be happier than if you buy it,,I published my opinion on the Calphalon website and they sent me an email saying that my review was not acceptable ,,, this is how the Communists act, everything at their convenience
I placed an order for Calphalon Knives. After I received, I immediately sent back because I did not care of the non stick feature. When I sent back I asked for a refund. This was in early March. After I returned, I recieved another email saying they were sending out another order of knives. I never ordered another set of knives as I asked for a refund (they sent the same knives from what I could tell). Unfortunately, I moved and never received the knives. It's now May 15th and I'm still waiting on a refund. I have spent a couple hours and about 6 phone calls with Calphalon to get a refund. I will never order from them again. Customer Service is horrible. Won't let you speak to a manager, says they will call you back, say it's in accounting and weeks later no refund!
They have a banner on site to offer 20% off then they don't send code and after calling I am told the discount is for the 2nd purchase not the one I am trying to do and this is not on banner...they are a miserable deceitful company.
Long wait!! I only needed a new filter basket and they made me send pictures of my coffee brewer and the part, which I would have to screen shot and email. I was on my way out of state, so I'll have to wait until I return then wait two more weeks for it to come. Who would scam them for a useless filter if you didn't own their product?
The worst customer service I have ever recieved. Ordered a knife set from their website. Was double charged for my item. Called after I found this out. They couldn't find my order at all. Kept telling me it was only an authorization charge, but it had already cleared my account. Was told they would look into it and be in email contact. Recieved one email asking for screen shots of cleared charges. I obliged. Waited a week to hear any thing back and no word. Stopped by my bank in between they said both charges started as authorization charges then where pushed through by Calphalon for the amount. I called back after a week. Was given the run around and best they can do would be mail me a check for the amount, that I would receive in 7-10 business days. So that ends up being 3 weeks with the second charge they had. My other option would have been to wait for them to put back to my account, which would take 1-2 billing cycles or 2-3 months. Very disappointed in how this was handled. Will not be purchasing from them again. Something else I forgot was the first day when they couldn't find my order and I told them I was double charged. That he had heard this problem, blamed the authorization charge.
I have tried to contact them 4 times by email and still have not heard anything from the company. I have used 3 pieces out of my classic set of 10 pieces and all three are discolored. Each discolored after the first use. Since you cannot return to the store, you need to contact the company. What a joke since they won't contact you. Because the store did not have the set in at the time, I had to order, and when they came, they were not what I thought they would be and was really, really disappointed in the quality. I do not recommend the company or product
I received a recall on my knife set. Calphalon made it very easy to return the knives and they were replaced and sent back quickly. What really got my attention was when Calphalon then sent me a Rubbermaid storage set along with a letter. They apologized for the inconvenience and sent the set as a thank you for the inconvenience. Wow--totally unexpected!
