Review Time
Like many recent reviewers I am really disappointed with the delivery service from Candles Direct. My order for Christmas candles, for delivery to Poland, was placed before mid-day on 14th Dec and on 15th I was told my parcel was on its way….9 days later the tracker still just says it was sent from Belfast on 17th Dec (why the two day delay when the company is based in Belfast?) and the Polish tracker has the same information, with nothing to say they have received the parcel 9 days after it was dispatched!I have emailed CD today, but given the telephone number I found goes straight to voicemail, I don’t expect a quick response…..please be wary of using this company if you have a time sensitive order you want fulfilling.
Would like to give a review of the candle ordered on 15 December but it hasn’t arrived despite the fast shipping claim. I received an email the following day saying it had been dispatched via Royal Mail but the tracking number doesn’t work. This is a Christmas gift so not impressed. Have emailed customer service but no reply as yet. Other items from other companies are arriving within 1-2 days via Royal Mail….Update, candle now received and also reply to email. Adjusted rating to 4 stars as candle smells gorgeous
Despite the ‘Fast Delivery’ claims on the website, I’m still waiting for the candle that I ordered two weeks ago.Royal Mail and Covid are apparently to blame, but the fact that so many other customers are in the same boat (and I’ve ordered from elsewhere since, with delivery within two days), suggests otherwise.
Similar to one of the other reviews. Wrong item received and no response from customer services email. Was for a Christmas present as well Unable to recommend using this retailer.Did get an email from Graeme assume of customer service to say my order was delivered. Which it was but had incorrect item. Ordered Xmas pudding candle but got black cherry (half the price I paid) Emailed back to this effect and again nothing. Facepalm. Too late for Xmas nowReceived email from customer services saying if you send multiple emails you go to back of queue. They have apologized for the error and are sending replacement by first class post. Changed to 2 stars for nowCorrect item Replacement arrived today. I understand mistakes happen and they have put it right. My only gripe is could do with auto response on email so you know your enquiry is being dealt with. No issues with product quality. 3 stars in the end
I made contact with Candles Direct when my order was taking rather longer than expected to be delivered. True to their word, a replacement order was immediately despatched and the products received were absolutely fabulous. All credit, and sincere thanks, to their Customer Service team for delivering a FIRST CLASS service...especially so close to Christmas!
