I had a car accident back in June 2022…

I had a car accident back in June 2022 and my case has only just been closed. Zara Joseph took over the case and was very helpful compared to Michelle who was radio silent for over a year. My case was closed and I was told I’d receive my cheque in 4-6 weeks. It’s now been nearly 8 weeks and I have tried to contact Zara twice in the last two weeks and haven’t had a response. When my case closed she asked me to leave her a 5 star review which I did and since then nothing has been responded to

Frustratingly long wait

Frustratingly long wait! Accident was in April, 2023. A prompt start - medicals completed and communication started off being really clear but when legal advisor changed last year , no communication since! I’ve emailed Janet Atkins 4 times in recent months and have not had one single reply! Liability was admitted in 2023!! I have suffered significantly since the accident and sent documentation to show extent of how injuries meant I could no longer work but still no reply! I am now so concerned that nothing is being done and time may run out on the claim! This is my last attempt to get a response before reluctantly going to the ombudsman - something I did not want to do.

As a self-employed person

As a self-employed person, every delay costs me and Carpenters’ handling of my claim has been nothing short of draining. My accident was on 13 July; liability was admitted in September. I submitted full financial evidence in August, but months later I’m still waiting for a correct assessment.I’ve been told “updates are coming” for weeks, only to receive completely wrong figures that don’t match the invoices and bank statements I provided. Even my formal complaint wasn’t acknowledged until I phoned to chase it myself.Their lack of communication and care has caused real financial and personal stress. I didn’t choose Carpenters they were appointed through my insurer but if you’re self-employed, think twice before trusting them to handle something this important
