I bought a Volvo XC60 from Cars 4 You in Broxburn, and my experience has been nothing short of disastrous. Initially, the staff seemed nice and helpful, and there was some damage on the car that we agreed would be fixed if I bought it. They also promised a full year MOT, but this was never done. They provided a 6-month seller warranty and sold us an additional warranty with a third-party company.They claimed to have a checklist for the car and said it would be ready for pickup in a week, but this was clearly never completed. After driving the car home, we experienced a severe lack of throttle when trying to accelerate. The next day, we called the seller, explaining that it was dangerous to drive the car back from Paisley and requested to have a local garage inspect it. The local garage identified a MAP and MAF sensor issue. When we informed the seller, they laughed it off, claiming it was a battery problem instead.We drove the car back to them, they replaced the battery, but the problem persisted on the way back. The following day, we took the car to an independent garage for diagnostics and sent the report to the seller. They initially agreed to cover the service costs, but then refused to pay after we had already covered the bill.Repeated calls to the seller led to them directing us to the third-party warranty company, which after several months, informed us that they never authorized the repair and that the seller should pay for it. Despite having a 6-month warranty with the seller, they refused to take responsibility.I do not recommend anyone buying a car from Cars 4 You. They are dishonest, and their positive reviews are likely fake. This business is a scam and should be shut down.
Worst car buying experience of my life! Avoid this company at all costs! I took a car for a test drive from the broxburn branch. I noted the gears were slipping, this was added to the job sheet. I went to collect the car 2 weeks later and was assured the pre checks and the gearbox had been completed. I took the car to the local station as there was no fuel, drove less than a mile and had to take it back. Nothing had been checked on the car, the gears were slipping badly and the bodywork had fresh scratches on it. I received a courtesy car and they took the car back to check it, they then said they could not sell me the car as the gearbox was away, further proof they do not check the cars or read the job sheets. I had to select another car as they had mine already away for trade in. I had already paid out for fuel, tax and insurance for the previous car, which I requested back from them, as this was no fault of my own, I had purchased these in good faith. They were refusing to pay this back and tried to fob me off with the momentum warranty which is pretty worthless. I was told the second car I had selected would be taken to the broxburn branch, when I arrived at the broxburn branch the car was not there, I was told that we would have to go to the Straiton branch. I took the car for a test drive and agreed to take it, on the proviso that the second key (with functionality) as was advertised would be provided, and that the car and the cars history would be taken to the broxburn branch for pick up. Another 2 weeks pass. I call the day before to make sure it will be at the broxburn branch, typically nobody knows anything, after much persuasion the manager offers to take it there the following morning. I go to pick up the car and have been given a standard key with no functionality and there is no paperwork for the car not even a V5 document, so I could not tax the car! Beyond frustrating! I have still to receive the refund of the outlay for the first car and the cars historical documents. I have spoken to 6 different people from 2 differing branches and can say without doubt that every single staff member lies. The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered from any business and I was absolutely disgusted and appauled to receive demeaning comments from more than 1 member of the staff including the area manager. It has taken over a month to buy a car and I'm fairly certain that the car I have eventually received hasn't been pre-checked, the valet was poor with clumps of stour all over the inside of the windscreen and the driver's seat was soaking. Never use this company, they are absolute cowboys! They lie, will never return any calls when they say they will and will try to gas light you, denying all knowledge of all previous agreements and nobody ever knows anything. Do not buy from this company!
Bought a car over a month ago. There were a couple of problems(mostly air conditioning) Cant get anyone to phone me back. They took my car for a fortnight and handed it back with the air conditioning still not working. Absolutely rubbish customer service
I bought Audi Q5 from Edinburgh branch in April. Salesman Ali was super nice and helpful but this was only nice and helpful experience with this company. After chasing collection of my new car, 2 weeks after purchase car was ready for pick up.Team assured me it takes so long as they do multipoint checks and making sure car is in good condition, safe to drive. Well it wasn’t…On my way home noticed major vibration on break and later on realised issue with passenger window and not working back wiper. Contacted Edinburgh branch to get it booked in and fixed, and that is when nightmare started.I’ve been told they can’t book it but Broxburn branch will be in touch with me to help. After week without contact I did call them again and heard they will call me back. Still nothing happened, after chasing it for a couple of weeks Murray who apparently is a manager in Broxburn garage contacted me via email to get details and book me in. After couple of emails it all went quiet. I followed up with him directly and also called Edinburgh and Broxburn to get this booked….again no luck. Even that breaks are safety hazard neither Ali or Murray decided to help. Have been referred from branch to branch for months now. Have been trying to speak to someone higher and all I can hear is that Murray is the highest I can talk…pointless. Zero empathy in their voice or even small will to help. One they pushed car out there is no other help you’ll get from them. Now trying to return the car and get my money back as I’m honestly tired. Don’t want to deal with this company anymore.Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend.Get you car from somewhere else, anywhere would be better than Cars 4 you.
Bought a car in Feb 2023 cars4you broxburn. Had so many issues with it that I handed it back Nov 2023. They wouldn't acknowledge their part in the repairs. Overall I had the car 12wks when all the issues started. Brakes, fuel tank, ball joint, tracking rod end. Brakes were an issue from the word go. Customer service is appalling, they are very rude when called out to be lying to you. Vehicle in question is a Hyundai I20 11 plate. Fuel tank to my knowledge isn't fixed, and leaking over 500 to fix it.
just dont you believe in this fake reviews i used to work for these scumbags and left because of this, fake mots constant lying to costumers, and that d*** Murray should sell a peppers in Germany rather than cars,, stay away from this dodgy scums and get a car somewhere else where at least you get a proper MOT and better section of cars these ones are buying from BCA all fcked up cars been there seeing a lot nothing change DO NOT FALL FOR FAKE REVIEWS amount of complains for these cowboys is unbelievable. NEVER BUY CARS FROM THESE WANNABES or you end up in tears
