Beyond stressful

Dealing with Cars4You has been a nightmare from start to finish. I purchased a car that was supposedly MOT-ready, but their in-house MOT is nothing more than a sham. Major issues were either ignored or given temporary, slapdash fixes that failed shortly after purchase. On collection, the car had a deep whirring noise and faulty washers. Their “repair” involved blowing air through the washer jets instead of replacing the broken washer pump. They also dismissed the noise as wheel alignment when the real issue was a faulty wheel bearing, confirmed by a different garage. Then came the exhaust disaster. I was told a new Volvo flexi pipe was installed for its MOT. In reality, they botched the job by using excessive putty instead of welding. The leak returned, and despite explicit instructions not to use putty again, they repeated the same lazy fix. I am now paying another garage to fix it properly, as dealing with Cars4You under warranty is too stressful and pointless. The incompetence didn’t end there. I part-exchanged my old car and trusted them to handle the V5 transfer as they said they would sort it. They didn’t. I received a DVLA fine for not insuring a car I no longer owned. Despite their assurances that it was sorted, I had to pay the fine myself. The service is chaotic, unprofessional, and completely dismissive once they’ve made the sale. I made countless phone calls (sometimes three times a day) and wasted hours waiting for answers and repairs that were never properly done. This company takes no responsibility, ignores basic standards of care, and leaves customers to deal with the fallout of their poor workmanship. Avoid them at all costs. I’d rather buy privately than endure this circus again.

I took a van from them

I took a van from them , it’s been send back 3 times for repairs after purchase. This van has proof of full service but they lie, actually they lie on pretty much everything. None of the filters has never been changed, poor service from them, they also talk bad and unprofessional on your back.I don’t recommend this car dealer at all, look somewhere else.

Sell you a Dream but have you living a Nightmare

This company Will Sell you a Dream but have you living a Nightmare!Where do I start, January 5th I enquired about the Audi A1 I currently have just now from the Broxburn Branch and was told everything would get fixed with the Car before pick up on 17th January. Dents in driver side/clip missing from passenger visor/ABS and TPMS fault all to be fixed with the purchase of the car. Alongside V5 to be received.Fast forward 4/5 weeks dents and Clip not fixed/replaced and ABS and TPMS warning lights are back on and no V5. 40-50 calls later they get the car back in for it to all be sorted (they have the car for 3 weeks) sat on the Main Road of Broxburn industrial estate and received the car back with THE BACK LEFT BUMPER SCRAPED with all remaining faults still ongoing with the car. We are now 5/6 months down the line with no repairs/replacements been done or made also still waiting to this day for a V5 when I was told at the time when handing car back to be fixed that a second V62 had been posted for me to receive my V5 (still not received the V5 to this day) and now FINALLY getting rid of A1 as it has been nothing but problems since the get go and I am now dealing with the Straiton Branch.I have had no goodwill gestures or any compensation from this company apart from being given death trap Courtesy Cars 👍🏽Let’s see if we incur anymore problems down the line.

DO NOT TRUST THEM

DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY. DO NOT TRUST their warranty process. My husband and I purchased a Toyota Rav 4 WU64*** early January from Broxburn, Scotland branch. Car bought in my husband’s name (in case they say they don’t recognise me as a customer). The multimedia screen was not working when we got the car. Reported it to Murray at Cars4YOUwho advised us to take it for a multimedia screen diagnostic, pay the charges and reassured us over phone and email they would reimburse us for it. The garage that did the diagnostic sent in the paperwork to Cars4YOU showing the charges. We also emailed over to Cars4YOU the bill with the charges which we paid. Several emails were sent and phone calls were made, chasing reimbursing the £78 diagnostic charge, several assurances by Murray that the money would be reimbursed to us and it never was. The warranty company isn’t reimbursing for the diagnostic as they did not authorise it, we were advised by Murray to do it. We are now talking with Trading Standards about this company. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

AVIOD THIS CAR COMPONY

My partner had got a car on finance with this company, when he received the car on the way back the car was fine and then not until I got in the car and had a drive to discover the car just stops working when you brake (start/stop) the car had to be pushed to the side of the road as the car was not starting again with stop start on! He later then told cars4 you about this problem and he was told that he could take it to a near by garage and they would pay for the costs of the repair to be done so took the car to the garage and a repair for the bonnet had to take place because the bonnet catch was broken! This cost £258 which he was assured he would recieve back! So he then called them to say that the start stop was broken as the near by garage had a look so he said you will need to bring the car down here and we will repair it, he was told he would get a coursty car like for like! Far from like for like he got a price of junk with a windscreen chip in it and also is not even been taxed! He then further phoned up they took 2 weeks to do the repair on the car and the car to this day is still sitting there because he hasn’t received his £258 he was assured they would pay back, all this company is just scammers and don’t want to pay for the problems that shouldn’t have even been there in the first place! Next steps is the ombudsman as everyday he asks about receiving his money back they say aww I will catch it up it’s been 1 month and still no money! Completely AVOID THIS PLACE! MY PARTNER IS LEFT PAYING FINANCE ON A CAR HE HAS ONLY DROVE FOR 1 week! He had asked for a good will gesture to get Apple car play in but they haven’t even bothered to do that! Ridiculous customer service and would rate it about -10 joke of a company I can see by everyone else’s reviews they are having the same problem receiving a broken car! AVOID aAVIOOD

Got an Audi tt from Broxburn cars for…

Got an Audi tt from Broxburn cars for you bk in October 23.. and can safely say it’s been the best car I’ve owned. Delt with sheraz. He had the car gleaming when picked up any issues on car were sorted. Just over a year later and still going strong. A year of absolute abuse and the car has took every bit. Can not fault them in any way… That man deserves a pay uplift.

These cars are NOT for you!

These cars are NOT for you!My daughter-in-law bought a car online from this dealership in Broxburn. It was her first time purchasing a car. She paid the deposit online, arranged finance and a date to collect the car. When she travelled to the dealership, Dan the salesman was late, hurried her to sign the contract before showing her the car, gave her the keys and left her without looking over the car with her. She was disappointed at the state of the car but drove it away to get advice. The car barely made it to the nearest petrol station as there was no petrol in it and half way home a warning light came on and she discovered among other things that it has an oil leak and the radio didn’t work. Although passing an MOT this September there are many examples of poor workmanship which it should have failed it’s MOT on such as loose brake pipes which are routed incorrectly cutting across the engine bay etc. The car was not as described. She contacted the dealership with a view to returning the car using the 14 day cooling off period; she had only had the car a day. Murray, the manager, is well versed in ensuring that any issues will not be resolved easily. I overheard the way he talked to my daughter in law and it was disgraceful; he was bullying and belittling; sneering on more than one occasion “You just don’t like the car do you?”He was especially good at focusing on irrelevant matters such as making a big deal as to whether the conversation was being overheard by anyone and trying to argue over how many people are called Dan at Cars4you. Murray told us to have diagnostics undertaken on the car. He later said he would pay for the diagnostics. Reading the reviews it seems unlikely that she would be reimbursed and that anything will be done about all the faults. Today, on request, she was emailed the 87 point check which did not note the low oil level/oil leak, faulty radio etc. It was signed by Dan (hopefully that would be a mechanic Dan and not the Salesman Dan but who knows 🤷‍♀️!!!)AVOID AVOID AVOID
