Disappointing Experience with Car Hire

I arranged and paid for a hire car for a few days while attending my father's funeral, providing my documents well in advance as requested. This was my first time using this service, as I typically book directly. I hold both a UK and an international driving license, which I have had for many years. However, upon my arrival in the UK, the car hire company refused to provide me with a vehicle, claiming that I do not currently reside in the UK and that my international license required a booklet that I didn't have with me. This requirement was never mentioned beforehand, yet they were quick to accept my payment. I was quite fatigued at this point, but thankfully, I was able to go to another provider who helped me secure a car for the days I needed. Now, I am attempting to get a refund from the original company through the service I used, but they have informed me that they cannot refund my payment because my license is less than a year old (having been recently renewed). Given this experience, I cannot recommend using them as an intermediary and would suggest booking directly with the car hire company, even if it means paying more.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Car Rental

I arranged a car rental through a service and purchased full insurance, including road assistance. However, at the rental location, I was informed that road assistance was not included, leaving me in a position where I had to pay again to avoid potential charges. Neither the rental company nor the booking platform were willing to offer a refund for their error. Additionally, they provided a so-called mystery class, which turned out to be just the smallest and least desirable vehicle available, not ideal for travel in the US. This was certainly not a pleasant surprise.

Fraudulent Company with Disrespectful Support

This company is a scam with extremely rude and unprofessional support. I canceled a booking over 24 hours before pickup and they kept £116 (~€137) despite their website stating a full refund for cancellations. No service was provided—no vehicle, no insurance, nothing. Their customer support was shockingly dismissive, treating me with mockery. They even misrepresented facts regarding chargebacks, assuming I had done one when I hadn't. This behavior is deceitful and unacceptable. I have reported them to consumer protection authorities for misleading practices. Do NOT trust this company. Avoid at all costs!

AVOID THIS COMPANY DUE TO DISRESPECTFUL SUPPORT. The service retained £116 (~€137) for a booking I canceled immediately and more than 24 hours before pickup. Their website clearly stated 'full refund for booking cancellation', yet they refused to return even 1€. No service was provided — no car, no insurance, no additional driver — nothing. And their customer support? Shockingly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. They literally dismissed my concerns with phrases like, 'We are running in circles' and 'chao', as if mocking me. This is not customer service; it's scam behavior. They kept asking me to cancel a chargeback from my bank, claiming, 'I see you did a change back. To make a refund, you need to provide us proof of cancellation,' despite me never initiating any chargebacks, as I didn’t pay with a card! This only proves their scam tactics and scripted responses. They assume you did a chargeback and expect you to cancel it, all while refusing to refund anything! They constantly avoided direct answers, lied about terms, hid conditions that were never disclosed before payment, contradicted themselves, and attempted to blame a payment service, even though that service confirmed no refund was issued. I have reported them to consumer authorities for misleading commercial practices, and an investigation is now underway. Do NOT trust this company. Do NOT book with them. Rude staff combined with stolen money equals a clear scam. Report them to consumer protection authorities to help stop their deceitful practices!
