Fully agreed with other reviews; this company is an absolute damage scammers. Only rent with full insurance. They will charge you for pre existing ones in case you don't.As someone wrote, cars have 30+ little scratches noted and it's impossible to check them all. Avoid
My experience with them is absolutely dreadful! Despicable individuals charging you for pre-existing damages!!!! My bill was a whopping £600 After returning the car, they have the audacity to claim that the windows have new scratches... what a complete joke!!! The report clearly shows that the scratches were already there There is no one available to inspect the car upon return, you just receive an email with your fraudulent bill. No luck getting any kind of response! Do not even think about renting a car from them, Rzeszow. I wish i saw reviews before ! Is cheap to rent but don’t forget you will be charged extra… pay more and go to hertz to avoid scam
I must admit I got worried after reading the reviews. But I picked up my car on Wednesday without any problems, car was clean, tidy and modern. On the return I have been instructed to drop the keys to the drop off box but there was a staff still around so I’ve asked if it possible to check car now as I was worried if there would be anything wrong then I’d loose deposit. But no, the car was good they said they will send me an email asap with confirmation and they did indeed.Very pleased with the service and prices were well good! Would recommend and if I’d ever need a car again I would use carwiz again ✌🏼
Clean and fully working car. Very friendly customer service. Easy car booking and returning processes. This is what I needed when I landed in the middle of the night and just wanted to get home 3h away. Thank you very much! Very bad experience at Carwiz Krakow Airport: (KRA01-25-1299) very long wait for the car on arrival. a ridiculously low price of 18 euros for 5 days rental, then an extremely high surcharge for 2 days Cross Bord (Czech Republic) of 80 euros ! A few hours after drop off at airport, already an email with damage claim of 170 euros for a scratch on the rear bumper that was certainly not there when car was returned at 3 a.m. There photo shows a little scratch on a durty bumper while we had the car completly cleaned and it had not been raining. CarWiz looks like pure SCAM when hiring at very low cost and after every return making huge profit by sending out demage claims... (smells like insurance fraud)
Stay away.Like many other customers in 2025, I was charged for windscreen damage which allegedly happen during my rental, 1mm stone chip. A damage to the windscreen was already included on a pickup report, but during return inspection, which was super detailed, the agent claimed he found a new damage. Was charged 200 straight away.The Customer Service refused my appeal. Been renting 15 years now, never experienced anything like this. And you can tell by the agent behavior (body language), that he wanted to find anything to charge you.
Belów in Polish (under English)The company is ripping customers off. When handing over the car, they give proposals for insurance more expensive than several times the rental amount. The proposal is in the form of those can't-reject known from Coppola movies, they threaten you with consequences when you return the car. At the time of delivery, the employee searches for various damages and if you do not have them in the photo from the day of release of the car you pay for the damage estimated by carwizz the amount (for example, polishing a minor scratch costs 700 zlotys is 170 euros). These damages the company does not remove. There were more than 40 damages on my car, which I had to check, otherwise you will pay. Find 40 scratches on a black car at night! It's crazy. When passing the anonymous employee as if he knew perfectly well where to check, for example, he touched the underside of the bumper just on its side, where there was a scratch from the curb. It is impossible to take a picture from under the car! In Krakow, the car pick-up is outside the airport, and the shuttle service works poorly, I waited more than half an hour in the cold in front of the terminal. Propozycja ma formę tych nie do odrzucenia znanych z filmów Coppola, grożą konsekwencjami przy oddawaniu auta. Przy odbiorze pracownik wyszukuje różne uszkodzenia i jeżeli nie masz ich na zdjęciu z dnia wydania auta płacisz za szkodę szacowaną przez carwizz kwotę (np. polerowanie drobnej rysy kosztuje 700 zł to jest 170 EUR). Tych szkód firma nie usuwa. W moim aucie było ponad 40 uszkodzeń, które miałem sprawdzić, bo w przeciwnym razie będziesz płacić. Znajdź 40 zarysowań na czarnym samochodzie w nocy! To szaleństwo. Przy zdawaniu anonimowy pracownik jakby doskonale wiedział gdzie sprawdzać, np. dotykał spodnią część zderzaka akurat z jej strony, gdzie było zarysowanie od krawężnika. Nie sposób zrobić zdjęcia od spodu samochodu! W Krakowie odbiór samochodu jest poza lotniskiem, a dowóz działa słabo, czekałem ponad pół godziny na mrozie przed terminalem. Kierowca opryskliwy.
Scammers!!!! I also wish I’d read the reviews before renting a car from these scammers!!! Rented a car to collect at Łódź. No office at Łódź and was advised to wait outside the airport and collect the car from the roadside!! Should have realised by then this was the start of the scam!! Dropped off car as agreed but advised to leave it in the parking lot and leave keys in centre console as something had come up and agent couldn’t meet us. LO and behold a few hours later there’s 2 emails advising me of OVER PLN 2000 charged to my credit card in addition to the £900 taken as damage deposit. Apparently there was a small dent about 3mm wide and a chip about 1mm and a fine scratch on the front bumper (I note they charged another customer for this same scratch in another review reporting a similar scam on this site). Please please avoid. I’ve raised a case with my credit card company, Booking.com and next I’m going to report them to the authorities for insurance fraud!! They have to be stopped and dealt with as this gives Poland a BAD name. My wife and in-laws are VERY embarrassed as well as angry that a fellow countryman should conspire to defraud her husband visiting their country and giving Poland a bad image. Thanks to these idiotic cowboys!!! Update #1.So as per Carwiz’s invitation, I emailed them last week 17/03/25 asking for a refund of my money and explaining why I was entitled to my refund. I explained that they were fraudulently charging me for damage they’d already tried to charge someone else as well! To date….RADIO SILENCE!! They did not even respond to say, thank you and we are looking into it!! These are the actions of SCAMMERS!!! I will continue to expose them. Next stop is OLAF!!!
Scammers! I rented a car in Wroclaw Airport through booking.com, returned the car in perfect condition. Then they send me a photo of water on the roof and charge for 600€. Why these scammers are allowed on booking.com and why they are allowed to do business in airport?
