Our experience in Poland was quite awful. They had us waiting for the car two hours ( with four kids) and the delivery of the cars was run with in a very rude manner. Of course no apologies, no good afternoon, no thank you for using our service,...just unpleasant and unprofessional actitud towards us. They threatened us with charges and charges over any tinny damage or in case we do not wash the car ( inside and outside) .
Booking.com is misleading with good reviews. *Warning About Carviz Warsaw: Totall crooks**I had a very disappointing experience with Carviz Warsaw, and I want to share my story to warn others about renting a car from this company. I rented a Toyota Corolla hybrid for six days from the Courtyard Marriott Hotel near Chopin Airport. The rental agent, Piotr O., threatened me and several other female customers, warning us about the consequences of not purchasing car insurance through him, even though I had already bought rental insurance through booking.com. He insisted that it was a great deal at 140 euros, discounted from 180 euros, in addition to the rental fee of $260.When I returned the car, no one was available to inspect the vehicle, so I dropped off the keys. Later, I was charged for supposedly not refueling the vehicle, which I find unreasonable given the circumstances. An additional charge of 156 zloty (approximately $42) was added for fuel filling, although I had already refueled the car.In total, I ended up paying around $460 for a basic economy car rental for six days. I urge others to be cautious and aware of the predatory tactics used by this car rental company.
DO NOT HIRE FROM CARWIZUnfortunately by the time we looked up this company on Trustpilot, it was already too late. If we had seen how low their ratings were, we would not have hired from them. We dropped off our car to an empty desk at the airport. As instructed we left the keys in the deposit box. Everything had seemingly gone smoothly. No problems had been encountered by us. So imagine our shock and dismay to arrive home to an email from Carwiz claiming 3 new scratches had appeared on the rear of the car since our pick up a week earlier. And that they would be charging us 350 euros for the repair of the same. How such an assessment could have been made just two hours after we had dropped off the keys to an empty desk is beyond me. This was also late on the Monday evening when it was already dark. All this despite the fact not a thing had happened to the car, during the week of our hire. When not been driven it was safely parked in an private underground car park the vast majority of the time. It would have taken a considerable effort to do any damage to it there. The photographs of the scratches sent to us were a joke. Miniscule and hairline, they could have been from any car of the same colour. Upon receiving this email, I replied completely refuting this claim. However no further follow up from Carwiz. We then looked up the company's ratings. At this stage a couple of months too late. In any case we found that our experience was far from uncommon. Hence the low ratings for this company. We strongly advise anyone to avoid using this company. We will be telling our Polish friends about it and also not to use Carwiz.
Total crooks. Rented me a battered corolla. when returned to Gdansk airport no one available to check vehicle do dropped the keys off. Then get a notification that there's a dent on the roof absolute rubbish. On my Google review I'll add photos and the the paperwork
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – DISHONEST COMPANY!NEVER BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY! SCAMMERS AND THIEVES!On April 17th, 2025, we rented a car at Krakow Balice Airport through Carwiz Rent a Car – Parking TINA. We had booked well in advance, but when we arrived at 1:00 AM (as previously confirmed), no one was there to meet us. After several phone calls, they finally sent a shuttle… only to tell us that the car we had reserved was not available.We were forced to take a more expensive vehicle, with no choice, no explanation – they simply took advantage of the situation. They blocked €1270 on our credit card, even though our confirmed booking clearly stated €1200. When we questioned it, we were told that "what the online agency says doesn’t matter." Unbelievable.We had also purchased full insurance online during the booking process, but they refused to accept it, claiming it was invalid, and forced us to pay more for their coverage.At drop-off, even though the car was in perfect condition, washed and clean, they tried very hard to find any tiny scratch to charge us extra. Luckily, my husband had filmed and taken plenty of photos of the car at night when we picked it up, so we were able to prove there was no damage.Their behavior was dishonest, arrogant, and manipulative. One of their employees even laughed in our faces.We travel all over the world, my husband is a doctor, and we’ve never been treated this poorly anywhere. We demand a formal apology from this so-called company and want to warn all travelers: STAY AWAY from them! They operate like a legalized mafia.

I recently rented a car from CARWIZ and had an excellent experience. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional, making the rental process smooth and hassle-free. The car was in perfect condition, clean, and well-maintained. I highly recommend CARWIZ for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient car rental service. I will definitely be using their services again in the future located at Courtyard Marriot Hotel .
Great quality/price rentals with easy pick up and drop off. My only concern is that the damage assessment did not report all scratches and dents and I had to come back and wait over one hour to get the contract amended to include the findings. Also, I was asked to call 10 minutes before drop off but nobody picked up the phone and when I got to the office nobody was there. It was difficult to get hold of CarWizz personnel on this occasion. Check your cars thoroughly before you drive away and make sure that your contract reflects the conditions of the car. Deposit was released 24h after drop off
A very dangerous and unreliable company. Too bad I didn't read the reviews first. We arrived in the evening and they gave us a new car, we drove the car for 9 days smoothly, we didn't have any accidents or scratches, and we returned it exactly as we received it in new condition, just a little dusty, and when we arrived there was no representative to receive and inspect the car even though they stated that their branch in Krakow near the airport is open 24/7. When we got home we received an email about claiming the entire deposit and they took pictures of the scratches we had made on the entire car, I didn't even have anything to explain to the insurance company because it's clear that they're doing a combination, taking pictures of another car of the same type and changing the license plate, in short they charged us 4400 PLN and it was clear that it was because we had insurance. They are not reliable and fair, although they advertise cheap prices to attract attention, but if we hadn't taken out external comprehensive insurance we would have paid dearly. I don't recommend them, I saw that people wrote bad reviews and it's clear why, it's just a shame I didn't read it before, it's worth paying more money and renting from reputable companies and not through them.
