Champion gave a stellar presentation about why their product is different than everyone else. The windows are built better and are a far better value. We placed the order and within 48 hours they came back for a final measurement and I was contacted by the project manager. That’s incredible service.
Marcus did a great job explaining the benefits and features of Champion windows, the entire purchase & installation process and answered all of my questions. After getting several estimates, I was confident that I made the right choice with Champion.
We recently purchased windows through Champion and were very pleased with them. Our Salesman was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. When we needed new doors we knew who to call. We would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of windows or doors.
If it was possible to give negative stars, I would. Signed the deal on 7/30/2021, was told it would take 8-10 weeks for the windows and 12-14 weeks for the door. Windows were installed 11/8/2021. The installer did not repair the rotted-out window frame on the largest window, just covered it up with aluminum sheeting, the screens for the biggest window would not fit, the screens for the kitchen windows were gouged and scratched up. The installer did not clean any of the windows. The Installation Manager came out and I showed him the pictures of the dry rot, he had me talk to his boss. New screens were ordered, and a different crew came out when they showed up and repaired the rotted-out section and redid the aluminum that was put over it. They also replaced the screens, but as with the first time, the ones for the largest window would not fit. The local Installation Manager had one of the local team cut the screen frames down to size and them out and installed them and had a crew clean the windows inside an out of the leftover gunk from the protective film the original installer did not clean off. The doors still have not been installed or built as far as we know. The last we heard, the blank for the doors was to be delivered to the factory in Ohio 12/29/21 (it is now 1/27/2022 and no feedback, update, or contact). I called the Ohio customer service number, no one seems to know anything about whether the door blanks have arrived and are being worked. Until I called the Ohio Customer Service number, once the initial install date was missed, no one at the Wichita location would return calls, respond to voicemail, emails, or texts. So, no, I really cannot recommend them. I'm VERY disappointed. I am pleased they corrected the original mistakes, but this has been a very frustrating experience, and continues to be. We still do not have the doors or know if we ever will have, and apparently no one at Champion knows either. I suppose they are not worried about it since they collected the 1/2 deposit upfront. The Salesman has replied to texts a few times just to tell us he can't get an answer out of anyone at the factory. Told us the Senior Installation Manager for this region would call. I have left that person messages that have not been returned, so I'm skeptical about getting a call. NOTHING should be this hard. All we want to know is when we are going to get the doors. Or if they have not been built yet, why not and when will they be? I find it hard to believe that not one single person in the Champion organization can answer that question! I see Champion was bought out by Great Day Improvements 12/30/2021 ((888) 468-0700)
The factory representative David Karandos was friendly,informative and gave me options for discounts.He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.He answered all my questions and took his time explaining everything.I have no complaints whatsoever.
Champion windows is the perfect example of how to run a business into the ground. We signed a contract for $32K of new windows in March of 2021, they did not even order them until 10 weeks later when I called to ask when the install would be (the salesman said 8 weeks). In August they installed some of the windows (two were measured wrong and one was damaged) and promised the rest would be installed within a few weeks. Once again, months go by with not even a call until December when the new guy actually picks up a phone and call to try and get this done. Now it is Jan 19th and they installed the last two windows but do not have the glass to fix the other. PLEASE review the BBB website before signing anything, they will hold YOU to a contract on the threat of a 30% penalty while holding themselves to no standard of performance, quality, or integrity. The BBB was absolutely right in removing their accreditation and should have done it months ago. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with champion no matter what lies they feed you!
