Got 17 new windows in our home-they look and work fantastic! Their customer service was wonderful and I enjoyed talking and working with all of the people there. The process was easy from start to finish. Would recommend Champion to anyone else who needs new windows.
I have made several major purchases from Champion over the past 20 years. All have been good experiences EXCEPT the last/current window purchase. Communication has been a MAJOR problem. Installation status was non-existent for the original contract. A large 5-bay window had a panel cracked the same day as it was installed. Eight weeks have passed and the defective 5 foot high panel has not been replaceed. After many tries the "factory" may now have it in cue. Local Pittsburgh Champion dealer has yet to reply at all.
Amie, Mark and Robert were great to work with! My husband was on active duty at the time so I was navigating the delivery and install process on my own and had lots of questions. Communication from Amie, Mark and Robert was very timely, even during the evenings and weekends. There was some previous damage on our home that my husband did not get to prior to leaving and that was repaired for us. The install crews did a great job of cleaning up each day so that I could use the driveway and garage with no worries of getting a nail in a tire. The install crews were also very mindful of the many roses planted around the perimeter of our home so that they did not get trampled. Form the customer service to the product quality, very satisfactory experience and will definitely recommend them! Keep up the great work!
We were never told to take window treatments down or move anything--I was out of town and Sheryl was told to move stuff (she has MS!!), Iwas not happy about that!Sliding glass door did not fit, had to be retro fitted--just noticed over the weekend the sliding screen door will not lock (for the same reason the glass door did not fit).....so going to call today--we will see what happens.Regards,Jeff Byrne
I had an issue with my front storm door and it took several calls, a few weeks and two visits to get it resolved. It finally has been, beautifully, by the same installer that visited before and told me that it was "normal". It took some persistent determination though.
Rodney was very professional and helpful with helping choose Champion. We were having 17 windows installed. We originally agreed to have our windows installed early summer in order to get some deal. We were pleasantly surprised when they called to schedule our install on April. When they came for the install they found that our kitchen windows was ordered wrong and would need reordered and installed at a later date. The installers were friendly and showed up a little after 10 am and left about 330 the first day. They were sensitive to the needs of my children. The installers left several articles or trash throughout our house and outside. The window tracks were full of shaving from when they installed the windows. I was not impressed with their clean up. They had to come back a second day to finish up. Showing up about 1030-11 and staying until about 4-430. Once again very friendly and helpful. We never received any calls about our kitchen window. No apologise, no time frame nothing. We got a phone call a few weeks later asking to come install the window. Again the crew showed up about ten and quickly got our kitchen window installed. I didn't immediately notice that they failed to install the screw hole covers until later that evening. When someone from Champion called that evening and asked if we were satisfied I informed them of their mistake. Their was no apology or anything. I was told someone would be calling me to setup a time to fix the problem. Two weeks go by and I still haven't heard anything so I called Champion to get some answers. I was given the run around and directed to a couple of people before being sent to voicemail. I left a detailed message and waited two days before I called back and was told I would have to leave another message. I refused to leave another message so I was directed to a manager named Brad. Brad was able to setup up someone to come over that afternoon. Brad failed to apologize for anything. In the two week time we waited we discovered that all over our double hung windows had a decent sized gap. The gap was big enough that bugs were able to get into the windows. This also caused air to be lost. When Champion came out he fixed the kitchen window and two other windows but stated he didn't have enough time to repair the others windows. I was told Brad was informed and sent pictures. That was Friday and I still haven't heard anything about when the rest of the repairs are going to be finished. Champion lacks the ability to follow up with anything and seriously concerns me how well they will follow up with warranty repairs or concerns in the future. I'm still waiting for my windows to be fixed and to receive some type of apology.
