Taylor is a great sales rep and Champion obviously provides a top product. But it's a huge expense if you're planning to sell your home. I'd want to enjoy the windows a long time. Too bad you can't pack them up and take them with you. :-)
I had an appointment with Champion's siding estimator Mark Watkins tonight. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Mark about what I needed done and what my options were. Mark was very easy to talk to and put me at ease right from the start that this was not going to be one of those high pressure sales presentations that we all hate. Mark took a complete scan of my home with a program that detailed every area to be reviewed. After spending much time figuring my job to the last detail he came up with a price that I felt was very fair and appropriate for the work to be done. He also helped me out with suggestions for some other window problems that I had. I'm glad I called Champion.
Honestly, they shouldn’t even get a star. The service that we have received in the past year has been absolutely horrid, the first door we got the paint started shipping after 3 weeks called to complain and they said it was a manufacturing error. We waited six months for a door replacement without updates, rude customer service agents, and poor communication!! When they came to install the replacement they installed the incorrect door and the installer told us that it was going to be six weeks and that they woudl reach out , two weeks passed and still no word or update was recieved, so I had to call the company. They put hold on 20 minutes and then told that I would get a call back. It took 2 1/2 months just to get another door that once again was incorrect, We were told again that it was going to be rush, ordered and still waiting . So we have been paid for a door that isn’t correct isn’t what we ordered and isn’t what we paid for and they have done nothing to make it right. On top of that, the installer noted that we’ll probably be needing replacements on the door for the rest of our lives because of poor Manufacturing. So please do not buy a door through this company!!!!!!
I had Champion replace our front double doors. It's been a few years since the installation and all that I have now is regrets. On average they were much more expensive than other door companies and my hopes were for a quality product. Unfortunately that was not the case. I had to replace the seals the 1st yesr because the draft was horrible! You could see daylight all around the edges. We even had ants infest our home through the openings that 1st spring. All this after many call backs to the company to resolve.Another problem is that the doors don't close without rubbing against each other. The hinges continue to sag and the doors rub together. One of their techs stated it was due to the install and unfortunately without removing both doors and frame, there's nothing they could do. And so I've been fighting this issue ever since. The doors are heavy and warp the hinges after a few weeks use. I find myself fussing with this every couple weeks.The caulking around the frame constantly cracks from the shifting. I've had to re-caulk every spring and every fall.My wife and I bought the expensive doors because they look great! But what good are the doors when they function worse than the doors we replaced?
I like the Windows. The company employees & customer service new nothing about customer service and time commitments. When you place an order in October of 2022 and the windows are not installed until May of 2023, something is terribly wrong within the workings of the company.
Our initial consult with Champion for replacement windows went very smoothly. The sales representative was not only friendly but also very professional with years of experience in both windows and home construction. Her presentation of the overall product (Champion Window) was excellent and very informative. She seemed genuinely interested in what we were looking for in regards to windows and gave us multiple options regarding window styles and prices. She was not rushed and gave us the time to ask questions. Lastly, I did not feel pressured to buy which was nice for a change.
