Had to give one star because I can’t give none.Due to a failure in there app they ring fenced over a 100 pounds, money I needed, gave me no charge and have not responded to any of the numerous emails I’ve sent. This from an organisation that works on behalf of Transport Scotland. Their intransigence, I guess is that they have the monopoly on chargers in the town and the nearest chargers are miles away.It should also be noted that within the town, they charge different rates per KWH, different minimum fees and different overstay charges. There is no continuity of service or charging policy.Utterly frustrating and disappointing. This company is shambolic to say the least
Worst company ever. Useless customer service, cards that don't work despite having to pay to get one. Irregular billing and hours on the phone trying to charge is costing me and my business a fortune. About time the government was giving these clowns the boot
Once again been charged the £35 hold fee only for the charger to mysteriously not work. Makes you try again which takes a further £35 hold fee. 7 days later no sign of the money returned. No return to emails about this but they can reply to other things. Really need to be challenged this company.
Absolutely horrendous. Tried to charge our car at Sheilds Road and it’s taken £115 from our account. So thanks you’ve ruined our day out with our granddaughter as it’s whipped all the money we had for our day out. Need to wait 7 days until we get it back!!! get an electric car they said, it’ll save you money they said, it’s good for the environment they said! Useless when you trip over petrol stations and the EV stations are as much use as a chocolate firegaurd!
Duplicate charge for charging car at an Aberdeen CCS charger. Same price for 2 different days 3 days apart. Complained to their so called help desk to no avail. Provided evidence from my bluelink app. Showing car was not charged on the 2nd date. Both charges exactly same price and wattage. Basically stolen money with no goods provided.Refuse to refund blaming me. Useless. If I could give no stars I would.
CPS chargers are awful and biased to which side of Scotland you live in. They are woefully inadequate and not fit for purpose. Restricting charges to 45 minutes and only providing a low charge rate is a recipe for disaster. even if they work. The West Coast chargers cost 70p kWh + which costs more than petrol. The East cost chargers, barely work, are old, rusted, displays are defunct, blocked with ice cars or council vehicle charging all week, but at least cost 57p kWh or less. Which is still more than petrol. Also whose idea was it to put one rapid charger in at a location, then put 7kW chargers for the rest then time limit people and charge them £10 per minute or hour overrun?Don’t penalise people for falling for your incentive to buy an electric car then limit their ability to charge it!!Chargers are poorly placed, they have given land owners too much money for ground rent, instead of sourcing their own land for chargers. When they had a huge pot of money to start with they should have linked up with Tesla to provide large charging hubs across Scotland.Don’t faff around with 7kW chargers points. Give every charge point at least x3 rapids that provide at least 120kWh+Then attach to every lamppost a 7kW charger.Swarco better pull their finger out as charging in Scotland decline started the second they installed them and it’s currently on palliative care.
Chargeplace Scotland make it so difficult to use their EV charge points that it’s not possible to charge your EV. It’s not enough to have the means of payment or even to download an app. You have to register for an RFID card which is not possible online. Their helpline call handlers acknowledged how crazy this is but were unable to help. It shouldn’t be any more difficult to charge an EV than to fill up with petrol or diesel. Companies like this are obstructing progress towards greener energy use.
Chargeplace Scotland are a shambolic mess when it comes to customer service. I am from Australia and had an EV booked for the month I was there. I am very used to driving an EV. My wife and I planned on doing the NC500 and needed to be able to charge. The advice from CPS was to obtain a RFID card. Firstly you can not download their app from overseas. Secondly there was no option for a shipping address so the card was sent to Australia. I applied a month before travel and the card arrived the day before we left to fly to UK. Too late I had ordered a RFID card from octopus Electroverse which can be used at CPS chargers.I tried to delete my account with CPS. Eventually found a form hidden in the CPS FAQ's and sent it off. Supposed to take 7 days. A month later as we were about to leave UK I rang and asked about deletion of account. The fellow on the phone was very friendly and assured me that the account would be deleted by end of day. Heard nothing more but a few days later i tried to log in to CPS and was told that password was incorrect. I assume that this meant my account was deleted but do not know. More emails to CPS to find out if account has been deleted. Not holding my breath for any response. If you are travelling Scotland use Octopus Electroverse. Do NOT bother with CPS. Shambolic.
