Just awful, app does not work properly raised what are known issues about getting payment detaisl setup near 6-months back and, when you phone the helpline (very polite people) I hear that they are still working on problems. Have to use web site along with the app and it is a bureaucratic mess that has clearly not been properly tested. In this day and age if you had developers working on this doing so poorly you would end their contract and source a new supplier who knows what they are doing and properly tests things. Very unfair as this is public money being wasted and poorly invested
I would give zero stars, but the helpline was, eventually, useful. the app doesn't work, so had to buy an RFID (yet to arrive 4 weeks later). only then could they override the system and force my car to charge. even this was on the slowest charger, because the fast one wouldn't work (Inveraray, but they're all as bad) to top it all off i had to vacate the space after 2 hours or i would have been charged a further 40 quid. managed to get back to loch lomond, just, and a proper charge with a decent bit of kit.
No RFID card. Ordered 2 weeks ago so I am going to Chargeback as I paid by Debit Card. Reading all the other reviews about Charge Place Scotland looks like they ring fence your money and then don't give it back.I will just charge at home which does not cost 47p per Kw hour. Thank you
I tried charging my EV with chargeplecescotland. The charging station was broken, and I got in touch and they told me to use the other chargers next to it, which were broken too. Four attempts later and I got a grand total of no charge for 4 times £35!!!! On top of that, you cannot use the app to charge as it is totally useless. It's really a scandal that they are the public provider.
I am so annoyed with Charge point Scotland. I tried to charge my car at The Pivot Centre North Lanarkshire at the fast charger, the company tried to connect me and couldn't. I took out my lead and connected to the slow AC charger, after 3+ hours my car had 100 miles on it, I was charged £30.00 for staying over 45mins... this is outrageous just another way of making money. Disgraceful don't touch this company, you have been warned. I was £62.50 to put 100 miles on my car. Its a money making scam !!!
AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE!They will charge you £40 any time you try to use it. And often the machine isn't working properly. They took £120 off my account and 5 days later I still don't have it back!!! The App doesn't work and you can't even register an account. Their customer services are trained to say they can't do anything, and in the meantime, it's you that will be out off pocket! Outraging!
If the Scottish Government had any competence they'd be all over Chargeplace Scotland and sort out both the network and the provider. The App in particular is woeful and not fit for purpose.... painfully slow, doesn't show previous charging sessions, map search function worse than useless, keeps opening saying it's sent a code to your email address, which it doesn't. The reviews on the App store say it all!3rd world technology.Thank goodness I only lease an EV. At the end of the lease period I will be reverting to petrol. Nice to see they're serious about saving the planet with such abysmal infrastructure, technology and support.
I used to use these chargers for my electric car but now chargeplace scotland have decided to take a £40 holding fee and have the cheek to take the price of the charge also! They dont refund the holding fee and give it back for 7 days, absolutely shocking service, I prefer to use the EV charge points at starbucks etc now. Get this sorted Chargeplace Scotland no need.
