Review Time
I will NEVER use or recommend Cheapflights to anyone. When I purchased my airline tickets I paid extra for the travel insurance so I could cancel my tickets if something came up. With all the crazy events happening this year I thought it was a good idea. I called to cancel and got the run around and was told to file a cancelation form online which I have done twice. Each online claim finally comes back and it shows "Claim determined not payable". Every time I call back I am not able to speak to anyone and the number I call hangs up on me.
I had a nearly catastrophic event on a booking to Cabo. I dealt with a man named Edward and a kind and patient woman named Rebecca. I had booked flights that somehow came back from American Airlines as 2 separate flights, which would have raised the price a lot They worked magic and as of now, my flights are back on par and at the original price. On a side note, it was probably like pulling teeth to work with American Airlines to have the original booking work to my original purchase. Hoorah to Edward and Rebecca. More to come after trip.
Horrible customer service...dont book from them ..they blame it on the airline..they say your flight is cancel days prior to your destination..they don't email you like say they do..hard to understand..and want more money from you after they cancel your flight.. Very unprofessional..
I see the recent negative reviews about CheapFlights.com and just wanted to relate our experience. I gave 4 stars only to get a positive (green) rating. In truth I would only give 3 stars as I wish we did not have to resort to our initial negative review. In summary, my wife and I were due to fly to Japan and part of our trip was going to be in South Korea. Our plan was to get a ferry from Japan to S. Korea and then fly back to Tokyo at the end of our long weekend in S. Korea. We booked that flight with CheapFlights. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the entire trip as my wife's brother passed away suddenly. We requested a refund from CheapFlights and had supportive documentation however we were getting nowhere.I then found this website and wrote a negative review. I was contacted almost immediately and, after some minor haggling, the full amount was refunded. As a side note, after the funeral my wife and I booked a trip including a flight and rental car through Allegiant Air however had to cancel that due to COVID. We re-booked and have had no end of problems with Allegiant. As a last resort we came to TrustPilot to write a negative review however we see that Allegiant, unlike CheapFlights.com, either do not monitor their negative (or positive) reviews, unlike CheapFlights.So, kudos to CheapFlights. Hopefully you will sort out the issues that I see recently posted for a number of people as you did for us. Thumbs down to Allegiant Air for whom "Customer Relations" matter nought!
