Unhelpful, rude, obnoxious staff - BEWARE

Took out the finance package through superbike factory, paid my deposit but due to a change of heart the next day I cancelled. Spoke to both the finace company and the superbike factory and was given assurances it was cancelled. All the blurb says you have a "cooling off" period if you wish to cancel. Imagine my surprise when I cancelled the DD and then started reciving threatening letters, txts and emails saying I had missed the first payment. It took multiple phone calls to resolve where I was treated with indignation by the rude, obnoxious staff or telephone thugs. A message to anyone if you can get a loan through a bank rather than finance do it. Leave these cowboys alone...Never deal with them!

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. Customer service was terrible and rude I went on a comparison website and they were coming up with the cheapest car insurance. I accidentally made an error on my no-claims bonus and I received an email to say that my insurance was now £1400. I had the policy for 3 weeks so I thought it would be straightforward to cancel. I had already paid the 1st instalment of £180. I explained to the call handler that I could not afford the policy and I would like to cancel The call handler was so rude and said that I had to pay a cancellation fee of £180. I managed to cancel the policy but have been billed 180 and they have also taken another £70 out of my account today.I have taken insurance with a new company so easy and affordable Do not take insurance or deal with this company at all!

Underachievers can't understand that…

Underachievers can't understand that sending letters to wrong address!!!!!!! Wrote 100 emails don't send me to that address I don't live there still keep sending what kind of underachievers are working there monkey would understand better!!!!!

Absolutely shocking customer relations

Absolutely shocking customer relations. If you are an equipment supplier waiting for payment from Close Brothers then don't hold your breath. They do not settle invoices on time and never respond to queries about when payment will be made. I hope we never have to deal with them again.

Cars4you major bad experience

Between myself my wife and 2 sons we have had 8 finance deals for cars from Close Brothers. The first 7 deals there were no problems with any of the cars however the last one was a nightmare.I bought a car from cars4you in Dunfermline and there was nothing but problems from day .No docs from dealer I had to apply to dvla myself. The repairs I pointed out to the dealer when I paid my deposit were never carried out. Car went into limp mode after a month and the dealer just wasn’t interested and always coming up with excuses. Frankly I think there are more cowboys at cars4you than in a John Wayne movie.The gearbox packed in and I traded the car into Arnold Clark and lost over eight and a half thousand pounds on the car having only owned it for about six months.I feel Close Brothers didn’t fight my cause enough with the dealer but that’s something I will have to live with.I think this last experience will make me wary about using them again even though we had no issues with any of the other loans and cars.
