Scam artists! Paid for travel insurance through Post Office which is underwritten by Collinson. After landing after our flight to Switzerland, we were informed that due to snow closing a road our transfer was cancelled and I had to find accommodation at the airport and find a new transfer the next day when the road was reopened. The person I was travelling with used Tesco insurance and got the transfer, accommodation, meals and even a travel adaptor refunded, but Collinson say I am owed nothing despite speaking to their manager. Very poor, what's the point of travel insurance if it doesn't cover your travel being cancelled!? Avoid at all costs!
They said I am eligible for refund. Suddenly trouble sending me money back to my provided bank account. After waiting 2 weeks no reply.After asking they want me to call them.Did call them, gave them my bank account number.No confirmation after the call.Horrible service!!

I informed saga within 24 hours of my gp saying i could not fly for my holiday. Over 10 years they have been most pleasant at my renewal. It is now 12weeks forward and tho I'm told i will get a good proportion back in a few days i think this poor. I needed more communication if there has been a problem
My wife lost a diamond out of her engagement ring whilst on holiday. Difficult to precisely say where and when and what time. Put a claim into them (Post Office insurance handled by Collinson) and completed all forms with an estimate to get replaced. That was 2 weeks ago and chased twice but no reply to chasing…..getting a little annoyed as was hoping for swift resolution. 2 stars will drop to 1 if not resolved soon.
I have an annual travel insurance policy with Saga (Collinson Group) and have done for a few years. My friend who I was meant to be travelling with was advised by her doctor she could not travel. It was an expensive long distance trip we had planned for over 18 months. Although I was obviously fit to travel, I was unsure as to whether my policy would pay my claim but this was dealt with by the team in both an efficient and professional manner. The paperwork was easy to understand, any questions I had were answered by the saga team clearly. The claim was reviewed and paid in less than 10 days after I submitted all the documentation. An excellent company with a great policy.
The Collinson Group handled my SAGA Travel Insurance claim when I had to cancel my holiday just three days before I was due to fly out because my beloved cat became seriously ill.I wasn't sure if my insurance covered the event of cancellation due to a sick pet but when I rang Saga and subsequently the Collinson Group everyone was so very kind and helpful.I received an email explaining exactly what documentation I needed to provide and once I did so (the vet report took a month or so to be written) my claim was settled and paid out in less than a week.Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful - all emails were clear and kind - the payout was swift and there were no quibbles.It made a very sad situation a little easier - one less thing to worry about and I am looking forward to rebooking my holiday once everything is calm once more.
