On a recommendation from a friend I used Corston hardware and switches throughout a refurb. All products look just fabulous and are made of quality materials. Had a few glitches along the way - mostly with handles - but have just been in contact with the company and they have offered to replace the lot free of charge with their latest upgraded models. And they have always been really outstanding in terms of communication and delivery. I do agree with another reviewer that the dimmer unit electronics have been problematic and my electrician hasn’t been able to find a work around to fix the flicker that sometimes occurs but overall good luck to the company. Great aesthetics and apart from the dimmer issue above, beautiful quality
Look good but dimmers don’t work. I spent a huge amount of money installing Corston light switches and sockets throughout the house. But the dimmers flicker. So I have just spent more money to fix them - when the electrician came he changed the dimmer components to better quality ones and they are now working fine. The Electrician said he has had to do the same fix on other jobs with Corston dimmers.It’s outrageous that Corston charge premium prices but use cheap, bad quality components that don’t work. It seems Corston are about aesthetic rather than function.
We ordered 8 Corston door handles two years ago (an earlier version). Initially, we were very impressed by the product's quality and elegant aesthetics. However, we soon realised there were a couple of design flaws caused by the heavy weight of the handles.After two years of owning the Corston handles, we decided to email the company to share our experience and inquire about any potential solutions for the issues. To our surprise, the customer service representative, Jess, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to resolve the matter. We were provided with updated components and a detailed explanation of the solution. The redesign of the core mechanism has successfully addressed the initial design flaws, and it is clear that Corston is dedicated to refining their products.As a customer, I truly value a brand that continuously improves its products while caring for the experience of both new and existing customers. Corston has demonstrated high standards and takes great pride in their work. I will confidently choose Corston for any future renovation projects.
After some issues trying to fit the Digby door handles, Corston listened to our problem and very quickly created a solution which has delivered great results. Fantastic customer service despite a hiccup with the product. So nice to be heard by a company. Thank you, Corston.
EDIT UPDATE: Corsten got in touch after I left this review. They admit they have listened to the reviews and have since changed and improved the Digby handle. They have sent me a sample with the offer to replace all of the handles previously used. I am pleased they have addressed this issue and will continue to use Corston as a supplier as aesthetically a lot of their products are unmatched.Original Review:I purchased the Digby Long handles for a project I was working on. They look lovely but were impossible to install - very tricky. That was five months ago, now the handles are sticking and one door is completely closed, impossible to open. Also purchased Bronze Baylis spotlights x 4. One came without the fitting. It took over a months for them to send out the replacement. Very poor customer service. They are now off of my supplier list.
